A victory with my NHS GP! 🥳
I just wanted to share my joy that I've won my battle with my local surgery to get my EOD B12 injections on NHS prescription! After complaining in a persistent and factual manner about their handling of my health issues, I asked for them to provide injectable B12 over a pill that my stomach can't absorb

UPDATE on Iron and Vitamin D
I just talked to my Doctor and he is putting me on 50,000 1 tablet a week vitamin D and has put me in for Iron infusion. I was surprised he said that I was iron deficient (not Anemic) but this is going in the wrong direction and is getting out of control and I need my iron to be closer to 100 (shocked

Iron Supplement
Hello, I recently started taking iron supplements as my level was 90 and it's advised should be over 100. I have now had black diarrhea for three weeks and the worst stomach acid. I have now stopped the iron supplements. Does anyone have any advice on what my next step should be. I have not spoken to

Elevated liver enzymes
Hi, my daughter has Graves and her latest blood test shows elevated liver enzymes, is this because she's on carbimazole. Prior to taking carbimazole her liver function was normal.

Advice needed on iron/ferritin levels please
I'd be really grateful if anyone could advise on whether I need to be concerned about my iron/ferritin levels. I'm seeing a neurologist tomorrow and want to be well informed. I have results from my last three blood tests so hopefully that might help. Serum iron level: October 2023 - 7.7 umol/L; January

B12 Def + Porphyria possible connection!

Milk thistle
Good morning, I was just wondering if anyone has tried milk thistle to try and improve cirrhosis of the liver and to add bile salts to the body?

Bad RLS.
Hi all, I've been hovering around these boards for a couple of years now but this is my first post. I am a 39 year old male. As a child and adult sometimes after walking a lot during the day I would have the urge to move my legs when I was in bed trying to sleep, it would feel like I had excess

Lansoprazole /Prolia
In my Sunday newspaper today the usual GP column has a question put to the GP about Lansoprazole use. Following a mini stroke this lady was put on various tablets one of which was Lansoprazole, and she developed pains in her legs and hips, had a scan and was told she had early-stage osteoporosis. She

Just again when I thought all was going well ! High platelet count from recent blood test shows Platelet count 515 10*9/L Platelet count has been abnormal for some time, but never this high. Not sure whether I should request the ferrous sulphate again, OR could it be PMR flare. I have felt pretty

Question about Celiac or NCGS...
I am wondering if anyone with NCGS gets neurological symptoms? I am also wondering about Celiac; if you test negative - does that mean you definitely are not Celiac? Last tests I got was when I was off gluten - blood and endoscope. So found nothing... Took a private finger prick one the other day, awaiting

Also raised CRP but I do have a cold . raised neutrophils and wbc. Haem thought this was good as mounting
