Pernicious anaemia triggered transverse myelitis.
I’m on two methyl injections a day. From Monday I’ll move on to 3 a day. The dosage is 2500mcg. I previously was on hydroxo eod. This is really effecting my life. I currently am unable to walk unaided. I use my crutches.

Vitamin b12/Folate deficiency
Hi all, Firstly can I say how helpful I’ve found this forum with the issues I’ve had with my health recently. I’ve recently been diagnosed by my GP with b12 and folate deficiency. I had a blood test (in the UK) and was told my level was 125 (not sure what unit of measure). It was suggested I had a

Blood work
I recently got my blood tested so I could check for ferritin levels and my ferritin was at 329. I had gotten my blood test a year ago when I first saw the doctor for RLS but they’d didn't test ferritin levels at that time. My doctor just messaged me about my new results and said my results showed elevation

How much folate is everyone taking?
How much folate is everyone taking?I’m now currently twice a day, will be moving to three times a day. When I was injecting once a day, I was taking one 5mg of folic acid. Now that I’ve increased my injections, im wondering if I should increase my folic acid.

Panpharma B12 Depot out of stock at Apohealth - now what do I do?
Hi I made the mistake of ordering Panpharma Vitamin B12 from Apohealth recently but when it came the box looked a bit different and I realised I'd not ordered the "depot" version. I had cobalamin not hydroxy. So, annoyed with myself, I sent them back. I kept forgetting to reorder. Came to do it

What now, totally lost and scared
I was all ready to start self injecting B12 having done much research and received helpful advice on here, received supplies and got my first jab done at a clinic. I doubted my GP would consider injections as my total serum B12 was 747ng/L (200-900) 3 months ago so decided to go this alone. Very low

Vitamin D and Anemia: Insights into an Emerging Association
Found an interesting study. The conclusion sold it for me. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4659411/ CONCLUSION Vitamin D is associated with anemia in various study populations and recent evidence suggests that the association may differ by race and is likely specific to anemia of inflammation

Hypothesis II
My hypothesis is that the antibody that attacks the intrinsic factor and or parietal cell may also bind to B12 rendering it unusable at the cellular level. That the production of the antibody with regards to amount is unknown and different at different times for the individual and different for each

ALS and B12
I ran across an article that was interesting, if for no other reason, for its quite detailed description of B12 deficiency. Scroll down to the heading, "Vitamin B12 levels and MND/ALS". https://jmedicalcasereports.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/1752-1947-4-298

Hi everyone, Hope you are all keeping well as we can be. Apologies for this long post I recently requested in Sep to have my VIT D levels checked as I recognised some of the symptoms from when I was deficient. And for some reason my levels had dropped so started 5 weeks ago to take a twice weekly

High neutrophil count😱
My wife's last blood test showed her platelets were up at @800 And her neutrophil count at over 70, her Hgb was 116, hematocrit was 0.38 which is high for her, but as it was only three weeks since she had three units of packed red cells and a bag of iron, that was expected. I read in the guardian of

low iron and tremor
I have been tremoring for the last month and today my GP freaked out at my very low normal iron blood level. He said I eat meat so he can't understand why it's so low. Anyway, I checked with Google and low iron can cause tremors so I hope this is what is wrong and I will supplement with iron tablets

From oxy to buprenorphine
I had my iron levels tested and all is good, not a candidate for infusion. Dr. Buchfuhrer suggested I switch from oxycodone to buprenorphine and tonight I did. Was nervous to go off of Oxy as it worked, but I noticed it was wearing off earlier and earlier. At 5 mg three times a day, I didn’t want
