Positive intrinsic factor tests
Hi there, I have had 2 positive intrinsic factor antibody tests. I also have all of the symptoms of PA. Fatigue, nausea, pins and needles in feet, loose stools, acid reflux and difficulty concentrating. My blood serum B12 levels however seem within the normal range. What do you guys think this means

Can anyone explain?
Intrinsic factor antibody 1.01 u/mL 0 - 1.19 Normal I thought it would say negative or positive, so I’m confused. Thanks

Vitamin B12 issues: full bloods are on the low side
I think my doctor was fed up enough to order full bloods. Anyhoo, we 'ruled out' thryoid issues, he has prescribed a Vit. D booster with no need for follow-up. I asked for a print-out of the test results and I do think a few things that relate to B12 are on the borderline of either high or low. I'll

Hi, is it possible to still have PA even though my parietal cell and intrinsic factor antibody are negative and my b12 is low?
Low b12 and negative parietal cell antibody and intrinsic factor. Can it still be pernicious anaemia

Please clarify- do I take B complex or just folate for now
Can someone please clarify if I should take the Igennus B complex that arrived yesterday or the Filapro folate that should be arriving today. As of yesterday my results were: B12 615 ng(180-640) change in range from (150-883) Folate 5.3 ug(3.0-20) I’ve been told on a FB group it’s not a good idea yet

Do parietal cell antibodies mean autoimmune gastritis and should you get regular endoscopy?
Hi, I'm new to posting here and this is my first post. I was diagnosed with hashimoto's (under-active thyroid) in 2004 and the doctor investigating at the time also found parietal cell antibodies (PCA) and sent me for an endoscopy to rule out pernicious anaemia and coeliacs. The endoscopy was normal

Low iron but normal ferritin levels. Iron tablets?
Hi. My symptoms of RLS have become noticeably worse in the last 9 months. I had my levels tested in March this year and my ferritin was 35 and my iron was 6.7. I was given an iron infusion which raised my ferritin to 172 and my iron to 8.1, which is still low (11 to 18 is normal). I noticed my RLS symptoms

Input would be greatly appreciated.
I'd be grateful of any advice to help me be prepared with the correct information before I contact my GP surgery. I've already received invaluable information from Forum members and the Pernicious Anaemia Society have been a lifesaver. Please excuse my long story and any over sharing of information

Is this ferritin level ok??
Serum ferritin level 30 ug/L [14.0 - 79.0] Thought GP had arranged to test my daughter for thyroid issue but so far only FBC and ferritin showing on system! She’s 12 y old, this was her ferritin result. Noted, borderline, no further action & patient informed. (Nothing was discussed). Other results

Questions about Topamax
Hi, Everyone. Haven't been on here in a while. My doc wants me to take topamax. This is to reduce migraines but I've read it also might help RLS. Does anyone here know if it causes augmentation (since it's a dopamine agonist)? Any other info you can offer would be helpful, too. Side effects? She's
