Folic acid dose at night?
Does anyone take their folic acid at night, then do the B12 injection the next morning. Just wondered if that would work so the folate is ready in the body to help the B12 absorption?

Generic for Buprenorphine?
so tomorrow I see my gp. At first I was considering gabapentin but I see alot of you have good results with Buprenorphine, since it has a long life and I could just go off my hydrocodone which has absolutely stopped working after 14 years. I've been having to take more than one 10/325mg and I'm just

NHS Guidelines 2-monthly injections for B12 deficiency patients with neurological symptoms
Hello All, Browsing the internet (as you do!) and have come across two NHS-issued documents, stating those of us with neurological symptoms should be having 2- and not 3-monthly injections (and should be referred to a haematologist, apparently - personally I've never seen one after over 20 years of

4am and still up!!!
I don't post much because my RLS isn't too bad most nights.I tried adding that both my kidneys have failed because of catching Covid for the second time and already I have a number of health issues. I am on Peritoneal Dialysis and I am diabetic. I treat my RLS with 75mg Pregabalin, I know it's nothing

Worried high MCH & MCV
Good morning all has been a worrying time for me lately. I have just been through a cancer 2WW for colonoscopy due to high amount of blood in Q-Fit stool test.. Thankfully colonoscopy showed 2 polyps, diverticulitis and haemeroids. GP rushed me in about 3 weeks ago to look at a weird rash which suddenly

Positive Update
I previously asked on this forum for advice for my husband in relation to a rls specialist in Ireland. This led to loads of great advice and knowledge in relation to the management of his severe rls as per Mayo Clinic Algorithm. He started taking magnesium glycinate 400 mg, Vitamin B12 and Vitamin D3

Query of whether I have Pernicious Anaemia
I have been told by one Dr that I have Pernicious Anaemia as my B12 was low this year and last year. My ferritin was also low. I had been on a high dose of PPis for 4 years and intermittently for many years before that. Intrinsic factor this year was negative and when I had a gastroscopy last year

Update on appointment at Vanderbilt QCC
I have secured an appointment for a 2nd opinion with Dr Arthur Walters who is the Director of Vanderbilt's RLS QCC. This will be a telemedicine visit so I do not need to travel 2 hours to be seen again. I was initially seen by Dr Kishan Tarpara at Vanderbilt but was very disappointed that he would not

calcium and vitamin D
Unfortunately I never got round to joining the PMRGCA uk ( brain sieve forgets to do a lot of things!) and so didn’t hear the speakers from the latest AGM. I have joined today! I was never prescribed calcium when I was diagnosed a year ago. I was told to buy Vitamin D 3000iu and I take it daily ( vitD3

Anaemia anyone?
I am wondering if anyone with PMR and/or GCA (both of which I've got/had) has also been diagnosed with anaemia. I notice that Pernicious Anaemia is another autoimmune condition. My GP called me in as my monthly blood tests had suggested I might have anaemia. He's running more tests but of course I'm

Blood pressure medication
My doctor has changed my BP medication from Amlodipine to Candesartan because it caused serious problems with my gums. The problem is one of the possible side effects with Candesartan is dizziness which I have a phobia of. She has only put me on a low dose 4mg but I am afraid to take them. Has anyone

Continued Journey
I’m at day +72 from my BMT. On day +70 on had labs and met with the medical team. Some of my concerns with weight loss and declining platelets were considered. I had finally regained some weight 3lbs. This was an indication the steroid budesonide was beginning to help food absorption of nutrients.

CLL along with hemolysis
i started OV treatment in April and have finished the cycles of Obinutuzumab. My Venetoclax dose has been changed a number of times due to counts. Last few weeks have been 300mg and blood has been pretty normal except for platelets which have often been low but are now 88 - with everything else pretty
