Hi everyone I am Coeliac and also have Essential Thrombocythemia for which I take Hydroxycarbamide. Amongst the many side effects from HC my regular blood tests have shown me to be borderline anaemic and my regular GP has monitored this for years - checking kidney & liver function, and also on Folate

The joy of the unclear diagnosis 😂
regimen has been as follows: INHALERS Seretide 125/25 (could probably reduce to 50/25 to be honest, the long acting beta agonist has been the most useful bit of this) Atrovent inhaler TABLETS NACSYS 600 OTHER Hypertonic saline nasal spray Hypertonic saline nebuliser solution Aerobika device

NHS ECV PCR tests still functioning?
Hi everyone, just wondered if anyone knows if the PCR kits the ECV groups were sent are still functioning? Myself and Mum were sent them many months back and are both feeling very poorly currently. We have had 3 negative lft tests and the gp has given us two courses of antibiotic for ear / chest infections

Sigma Pharma T3 - Any side effects?
I've been putting it down to having my Covid Booster last Sunday and only just having got over a chest infection requiring
antibiotics
. But I hadn't thought about the T3.

Managing asthma while reducing steroids
I recently caught a cold and I’ve been really congested with sinus and chest infection 😩 , lost my sense of smell and taste too (not COVID), so doc gave me a week’s supply of
antibiotics
(on top of the Azithromycin I take 3 times a week). The doctor also gave me 5 days of pred.

Long QT Interval
He mentioned some
antibiotics
increase the QT interval which for me is not a positive. He chose one that did not. This is the first time that I became aware of this. This Wikipedia website explains a bit about this.

Dog bite
I was taken to hospital, the wound is dressed and I have been given a 7 day course of
antibiotics
. I’m up and about but feel very weak. No professional has mentioned taking extra Pred and it has only just occurred to me.

Thankfully, daughter is on the mend thanks to a course of I.V
antibiotics
and the ministrations of the physioterrorists. But we can't visit as we are all unclean! Just goes to show how accurate, or not, lateral flow tests are !

Puzzled!!
I had an appointment with a GP yesterday because I have a UTI ( these occur frequently) I was given
antibiotics
but when I tried to discuss the difficulties with Rheumy she said that she couldn’t do anything about that and suggested I get in touch with PALS.

Strike 3 but not out!
I felt calmer than on the previous two occasions but still had a slight niggle as I wasn't 100% and had just started a course of
antibiotics
for a chest infection.

yeast infection or???
I have been battling a yeast infection (or so I think)or yet a fungal infection for nearly a year now.Extreme itching and
antibiotics
have done nothing. Now I’m battling possible diverticulosis. My question is could this fungal infection be infecting my large intestines causing diverticulosis?

No Orgasm!
A few months ago I was on strong
antibiotics
for Helicobacter pylor which caused very bad diarrhoea. I held the diarrhoea in while outside and it really felt like an explosion going on in my stomach and the lower back pain I got was very bad.

The battle lost!!
So we started his
antibiotics
and paracetamol whilst encouraging his fluids. However, his output improved, his temperature seemed to resolve but his overall sleeping increased. His speech seem less and less coherent as the week progressed. The look in his eyes had changed.
