Grief and learning to live through it.....
Monday 14th feb we were called in, she had gone downhill so fast
antibiotics
were not working. At 4pm myself and her youngest son agreed to keep her comfortable and withdraw treatment, her consultant agreed. Her closest family were with her from 2pm to 8pm.

Hospital Dr has said I need to stop pred?
When the Dr came around earlier, he said if I need
antibiotics
I will need to stop the pred, I've never heard this before and wondered if anyone has experienced similar? I would be very reluctant to just stop!I'm currently tapering down to 4.5mgs. Thank you as always for reading x

NHS 111 - A No Star Service
On Saturday afternoon I reported a dental problem to NHS 111 the outcome which should be a further supply of
antibiotics
which had been prescribed by my dentist, since the course had finished but my problem had not been cleared up.

Could Posterior Scleritis be linked to Baricitinib?
I also had cystitis so added that to my list of woes and had
antibiotics
for it. She was very helpful and referred me immediately to a local optician who has a NHS listing with our surgery. He in turn referred me as urgent to the hospital eye clinic where I was seen the next morning.

Discharge Infection from long term partner?
Was put on strong
Antibiotics
, (Co-amoxiclav) which seemed to clear it up. Always thought this may have come from my long term GF, as it can lay dormant. After a few months of safe sex, and then having unprotected sex (we have been together 7 years) the discharge seems like its back.

Antibiotics in FET cycle - can I refuse?
Hi There, I would really like to avoid taking any more
antibiotics
, the nurse credibly mentioned I don’t HAVE to take them but didn’t go into reasons why and I didn’t ask. I can’t recall if I had any for my first FET it was over a year ago now.

Shingles again , so over this! Thinking of getting the vaccine- do the shingles vaccines work ?
I’m going through a bout of shingles after a bad ear infection (5 sets of
antibiotics
later). Ended up with shingles in the trigeminal nerve area, which was not picked up in time for antivirals., in spite of me flagging it with gp and then when in acute pain in a and E.

Lyme disease and Thyroid issues
I’m worried all the
antibiotics
or the Lyme has affected my joints? I’ve bn to a podiatrist etc but it isn’t really improving and I’m worried that maybe some of the Lyme disease is left or could it be my Thyroid affected and in turn causing these problems.

Antibody to transcobalamin ii causing functional B12 deficiency?
In November 2021 I had an acute nasal infection which was treated with
antibiotics
(I’m not sure if it has completely gone away). I received a monthly B12 injections around this time. About a week later my neurological symptoms started began worsening quite suddenly.

H Pylori link with B12?
They have prescribed him 2 different
antibiotics
to take for 1 week + Omeprazole!! Please help. The GP just doesn't seem clued up on this. Considering contacting private Gastro before he starts taking any
antibiotics
. Has anyone got any thoughts/experience/guidance? Thanks Clare

Oesophageal Cancer
The Dr gave me numerous rounds of
antibiotics
, to no avail. Then I developed a DVT in my left leg and was taken to Hospital. They gave me Rivaroxaban (blood thinner) and that got rid of the DVT.
