Antibiotics and blood test

Hi, I have a blood test tomorrow morning, thyroid, iron and the usual vitamins. I've just been prescribed antibiotics (amoxcillin) by my dentist for extreme tooth pain and i wondered if i start the course today will it affect my blood test tomorrow at all?

If your dentist has given you antibiotics then s/he expects there to possibly be infection present. We shouldn't have thyroid tests when acute infection is present, this will affect the results. It might be a good idea to cancel your tests and wait until a couple of weeks or so after any infection has cleared.

Thanks SeasideSusie, i shall cancel it and wait before i re-book, i presume its ok to start taking iron and B complex again?

Yes, that's fine. Just remember to stop at appropriate times before the new test.
