Tired Beyond Belief!
Today my GP prescribed
amitriptyline
as I haven't had a normal sleep for an unacceptable time now ( almost 2/3 months) He is convinced my Fibromyalgia is causing insomnia. I also have RA ( on Baracitinib) and had neck surgery this year ( compression of nerves) also on HRT.

Continuing headaches
At last someone suggested
Amitriptyline
which has helped with the headaches and meant I can sleep better. I took 1 tablet at night until recently when I have cut it down to half a tablet because of the side effect of constipation. I haven't been to the Doctor before cutting down.

Never been so annoyed😡
as the doctor taught, went back today to tell them and was met by a doctor I've never met before, he went on to say that the
amitriptyline
that I'm on will take a while and that I should just take that, so I asked if he would give me anything for the pain because I'm not taking the

RELIEF FOUND
As a psychiatrist, I prescribe
amitriptyline
for patients at times - most patients seem to need higher doses than your family medical doc is comfortable prescribing. Gabapentin works only for some people, not everyone. You can also try cymbalta, trileptal, tegretol.

Newbie: Bloating - anyone else in the same boat?
I am on
amitriptyline
and meloxicam which are working well and along with great support from my lovely husband, understanding boss, oldest friend who has fibro too and some colleagues who care for someone at home with fibro, all in the garden is rosy.

Amitriptyline
This time round I have been prescribed
Amitriptyline
to help with the pain. It is very early days so I am still reserving judgement on whether it actually does anything to help the pain but since taking them I have been experiencing excruciating pain down my shins.

Can anyone help interpret my Daughters blood test results please?
Although I have learned much about all this stuff I'm not able to figure out what's going on, her GP has now given her 200mg tablets of ferrous sulphate to take and of course the usual antidepressants

I went to my doctor who gave me a low dose of
amitriptyline
to prevent headache but I haven’t managed to take this consistently. She said if they continue then she will refer me to neurology. Anyway, I’ve been feeling pretty crappy and tired to the point where I’ve not gone into work.

Which medication worked best for you? Amitriptyline, pregabalin or gabapentin?
Consultant has written to GP to recommend prescribing one of the three medications above. Just interested to know which worked best for other people in terms of reducing pains and symptoms whilst having the least side effects? If you had a choice, what would you pick? Thanks in advance :)

Amitriptyline 25mg
I currently take loperamide, codeine phosphate & now buscopan which means that my anxiety medication has now been changed to

25mg to start taking of an evening which my GP told me will make me sleepy so I would really like any opinions on this as I have a 6 year old son that I need to be

Restless all over
I saw a new doctor on Monday who put me on
Amitriptyline
, I questioned it, as I’d previously been taken off it. He was adamant I give it a go. I’m only on a starter dose & have only been taking it for 4 days, but from day one, I became ridiculously restless after I’d taken them.

Has anyone tried Duloxetine?
Amitriptyline
doesn't work for me and I couldn't deal with the side effects either. Tramadol does take the edge off and it gives me energy but I'm worried about getting addicted to this so don't really want to be on it long term x

Reassurance needed
It is probable that I have fibromyalgia, and have been prescribed 10mg
amitriptyline
at night. I was reassured that it is compatible with my other medication.
