Shifting location of GCA pain during eating
One month ago, I phoned my doctor who had me in within two hours, put me on 60mg steroids,
amitriptyline
, omeprazole and 75mg aspirin and sent off blood for testing. The results, unfortunately, confirmed her diagnosis of GCA.

Hi, I take 60mg of

Side effects from preventative medicine.
Amitriptyline
was tolerable, but didn’t really help either and when the dose was increased I had suicidal thoughts and thoughts of self harm (it was really weird) and was advised to stop taking it. Tried Botox for 2 years, and it sort of helped but not sure.

First time here - GP thinks I have Vasculitis
I also take 100mg
Amitriptyline
& 50mg Topiramate for chronic migraines, and 100mg Levothyroxine for hypothyroidism (possibly central as pitutiary problem). I'm also being investigated for POTS, have had a positive tilt table test and awaiting other tests to rule out heart problems.

Amitriptyline
Hi there, has anyone been given
Amitriptyline
for there tummy troubles, I've just been prescribed it, my tummy has been really bad recently, painful bloating, diarrhoea, sickness, acid indigestion, palpitations etc, I don't think it's my colitis, I think it's more likely my ibs.

Come here to winge
Then I start doubting myself as I didnt listen to medical staff before (haven't taken the
amitriptyline
though) and I should do as they suggest. Now after my blood test I am wondering if this might be the reason for my bad head. I'm overthinking things aren't I?

Recent Narrow Angle Diagnosis.
I read that
Amitriptyline
(which I take for neck spondylosis),could make this worse, so I have reduced to dosage to 50mg from 75, on the advice of my doctor.

Unsure what to do
I've suffered with rls for a number of years, I was on
Amitriptyline
for a while several years ago but it didn't help. Then about a year ago, my rls seemed to stop apart from when I was really tired at night, sort of a time to go to bed sign. As it stopped once I was going to sleep.

New and new meds too
The new meds have replaced Naproxen, Paracetamol and
Amitriptyline
none of which made much difference. I have severe osteoarthritis in my knee but also have it in my spine, hip (one replaced) and feet (one toe fusion).

Amitriptyline and bladder problems
Having taken
Amitriptyline
for many years for pain relief, I have finally weaned myself off it. However, I now have what the Drs are diagnosing as Overactive Bladder Syndrome. I have never had bladder probs before and my bladder has been scanned and is healthy.

I have been on
Amitriptyline
since then and Rizatriptan (Maxalt), self administered Oxycodone and quite a few ED visits for Morphine etc. In the last 6 months or so migraines got much worse and almost an everyday event. You know how debilitating and crushed it makes you feel.

sudden onset ear fullness and hearing loss
I take thyroxine and a 5mg dose of
amitriptyline
for bladder pain. The last few days I have upped the dose to 10MG but I cant see how this would cause it? Has anyone had any similar experiences? I am a bit scared. Thank you for your help.
