Hello, I have SLE and take hydroxychloroquine and amitriptyline. Recently my symptoms have been pretty well controlled with my medication, plant based diet and exercise. I work full time as a pharmacist in a busy community pharmacy and so far have continued to work as we have been so busy and know

Help painful arms
Has anyone had these symptoms? I’ve been waking up with no feeling in either one of my arms since November. At first I thought it was the way I was laying in bed. I’m a side sleeper and tend to cross my arms, bending my wrists. I wear wrists straps to stop this as my hands were going numb. I noticed

Amitriptyline for Endometriosis - what’s your experience?
I’ve tried several painkillers now: codeine, mefanamic acid, tramadol, codydramol and naproxen. They’ve now prescribed me Amitriptyline and I was wondering what anyone else’s experience was with this drug or any other medication they have found useful with managing endometriosis pain?

How I overcame IBS-D
Dear all, I periodically post this advice to help new-comers to the subject. I consider myself a recovered IBS-sufferer and so like to share what I learned. I hope that you are keeping sane during the lockdown! This is my general approach to help people understand and repair their gastro-intestinal

Update.
My Gp replied to my letter. She rang me (on request) I cannot have a prescription for b12 and inject at home. Definitely not SC and no suggestion of IM. However my treatment of 2 weekly b12 IM injections by the nurse at this stage will not be withdrawn . She also added as the frequent injections

Experimenting on myself
I do it often. I've had 40+ years of training to use drugs, syringes and medical tools. I'd always been super-healthy so the past three years have been stressful. First it was a DVT blood clot in my coronary artery.. Then it was white areas on my MRI. Then it was tremor and falling for no reason

HELP ME! WWE all night! My arms and legs are waving and slapping all night long. I tear the bed apart, beat myself and my husband. HELP
I have RLS with periodic limb movements. (145+/hour overnight). I was taking Clonazepam with THE best results after trials with Soma ( & at least 2 other muscle relaxants), the 2 meds that are specifically for RLS (? names escape me) a patch maybe, a couple of antidepressants in the amitriptyline category

Opting for Ketamine....
I’m beginning Ketamine infusions this week. A little anxious about it. I’m afraid to be disappointed IF it doesn’t help with my depression & anxiety.

Advice for pushing to get a lap
Hi everyone, I've been dealing with a variety of symptoms over a period of years and for a long time I didn't link the likes of my sciatica (scheduled MRI was cancelled on the day because consultant told me he could "feel" a slipped disk) and IBS (had colonoscopy - clear of course) because I was on

Pushed my self too far - like an idiot
Hi all, hope your having a good week! Unfortunately I can not say the same...over the weekend I was doing some door to door charity work with my local young farmers club-selling donated veg eggs and pig muck for your garden. Obviously the heavy lifting and large amount of walking didn’t help me but

Right L5S1 foraminotomy / Chronic back pain
I underwent surgery in May 2015 for Right L5S1 foraminotomy. I was discharged with dexamethasone for a few days to try and reduce the numbness I had in my right foot and toes, The numbness did not disappear, it got worse and spread. I returned to hospital 2 months later due to new onset reduced sensation

Tween/teen migraines and anxiety/stress
Hello Migraineurs, Do any of you have stress or anxiety triggers for migraine? My kids, 11 and 13 seem to. Both are in trouble with the school for lack of attendance. We are working on covering ourselves for that, but it is a source of stress for them. My younger one is also gifted, which adds to her
