My therapist just suggested psychedelics
I just had a session with my therapist. I am not getting better. I am just holding on. She suggested I look into the new benefits of magic mushrooms, do my research since it has been legalized where I live. Has anyone tried this or ketamine? Does it help?

nail trouble
A few months ago, my right thumbnail began to bend away out from my flesh. Other nails on both hands developed strange patches and became brittle. I’m on Sulfasalazine, Pregabalin and Amitriptyline, have been for several years. Also often use Tramadol for persistent pain. Now my GP has given me anti-fungal

Pregabalin and Lyrica
Hi I've got a phone appointment with my g.p tomorrow to change my preventative medication. I've been on 75mg amitriptyline and propanolol for 30 years and they don't work anymore. I can't take topiramate, but I've read that Pregabalin and Lyrica tablets have given some sufferers, good results. I'd be

A lot has happened
Hi all, It's been a crazy ride the last well I'd say 6 months. Back in Feb I went to A & E with pain on my right side where my ribs were. After a lot of waiting and tests, they suspected a blot clot Thankfully it was not, it was put down to a viral infection. I had previously had a chest infection in

so many supplements, so much money - any advice for lowering the cost?
hi everyone, I’ve just added up how much I’m spending on ndt and supplements and it’s an awful lot of money. I wondered if anyone had advice on cheaper options or those they think are unnecessary. I’ve got hashimotos and have also been diagnosed with ME/ CFS - these are a mixture of things recommended

treatment resistant depression
hey guys. So recently I’ve been diagnosed with treatment resistant depression. Does anyone else struggle with this? Any words of encouragement? Also if you have this have you had any success with alternative medicines such as magnet therapy, ketamine treatments or electro therapy? Any advice or help

CRP going up?
Recently in general all going ok. Was put on mtx about 10-12 weeks ago, didn’t have any obvious adverse effects other than a bit of hair loss, but doing fortnightly bloods as recommended. At this time was tapering slowly around 12.5 & 11mg CRP was gradually decreasing and test done beginning of July

numb painful thigh
This is a new thing for me… I’ve had fibromyalgia for years but started with a pain the outside of my right thigh - originally smaller than my palm (it’s now much larger) I’ve had a cortisone injection which did nothing. I’ve tried naproxen. Today the pain is starting in the other leg. It’s affecting

Remedies for low stomach acid
Hello. This is a follow up on a previous question. I did the baking soda test this morning to see if I had low stomach acid. I didn't belch at all so I guess that could suggest that I'm low !! I thought I would try some Betaine HCI with pepsin as that is quite often recommended. I asked my naturopath

Amitriptyline and IBS
Just looking for some advice. My consultant has asked for me to go back on Amitriptyline. Last time I lasted less than a week. I couldn’t handle the side effects. This time thou he’s explained things a lot more thorough. And also said he thinks in 3 to 6 months he thinks I’ll have my IBS under control

Digestive enzyme supplement suggestions
Can anyone recommend a good effective brand. All suggestions welcome. In the past I've used the Solgar Brand but I haven't noticed much difference. Likewise not much difference using Betaine HCI on its own either.

Paper on the design of B12 deficiency treatment protocols
This might be one of the most fascinating papers I've read on B12 deficiency and treatment, with several sections exploring how symptoms relate back to the particular biochemistry processes that go wrong in deficiency. The paper was produced in 2021 for the B12 Institute, Netherlands, a specialist B12
