Improvement Woe

ModelMetalworker profile image

Been meaning to post good improvements for while now, just running into uncertainty and other medical issues to sort. I have had several months of good results off Amitriptyline and sleeping well unaided for the most part. I have had several close call medical issues and survived. However this last weekend was and still is dire, headaches, migraine, fatigue, little sleep, wet sheets and extra new T. in my right ear, the lesser affected one. Started on Friday night with what I think was a panic attack, have not had this before, am having an overdue scan today on a oversized Lymph Gland and thought I was doing ok, I took 10mg Amitriptyline to help but this is when the bad things started, plus Sumatriptan for the migraine, with mixed results, may have contributed to the bad things. Because of the extra T in my right ear I'm afraid it may be picking up the Lymph Gland, which is close by on the right hand side of my neck, as an underlying condition.

Hi - so sorry you don't seem to have had any replies as yet...so just reaching out to say hi and hang in there, I had an MRI recently and they picked up an enlarged lymph node but they weren't worried about it.,It's good to read that as a whole you are sleeping better, it makes such a difference, am sorry you are having a rough time and just wanted to say I hope things improve for you 🤗 and that the scan is all good 🤗

Hello, thanks for your comment. Some good news is the lymph node issue was a false alarm being wrongly diagnosed by my gp, was in fact a normal salivatory gland he was feeling and not a 60% over sized lymph gland as he had diagnosed, so two weeks waiting for an urgent scan was torture, the x-ray department was furious, almost as much as I was, and will be making their views known. I also had an MRI recently which showed a cyst on my right kidney, you may have some history here, had a follow up ultra sound scan and am waiting to discuss the results next week, suspect some bladder issue. Am at the Eye Hospital today for a follow up appointment following a double vision issue, that Ct scan for brain tumour was clear but I can only use one eye at a time. And the T carries on waiting I hope for a bit of stability and so return to the more manageable hiss, some migraine relief would be a start.

Oh dear it never ends...that was so stressful for you re the gland, perhaps the doctor should have kept his suspicions to himself and let the diagnostics show the real problem, i had a cyst on my kidney whilst having a scan for something else, as yet not effecting me, there is a link i think with the migraines and T - at the mo when i get stressed i get a migraine..am working on finding more relaxation in my life.,the double vision must be hard to cope with, good about no tumour, i hope they can help with the vision, please keep us posted, we can only take one day at a time and hold on to anything that gives us comfort and makes us smile, personally nature and music and my faith keep me going...let us know how things go 🤗

Hello , just thought I'd ask if you have any improvement ? Stress can cause a lot of conditions.

Yes stress must be involved somewhere, the panic attack is more of a worry as symptoms existing and new worsened at that time. Seeing the practice nurse today about the night sweats so will try to get some other questions in, not always possible. Do feel better than a week ago for sure, thanks.

Pleased you feel a bit better . Panic attacks are awful and hard to control. As you get answers to your troubles , you should be able to calm down a bit. I'm a great believer that stress causes all sorts of problems that are very real.
