Negative test results but very positive
Hi! I'm new here. First post. I was told to reach out to you the NRAS Community for help. Here goes-I've seen two or three Rheumatologist, two Orthopedist, and my Nurse Practioner for help. No one can or will help me as long as I continue to produce negative labs. My right hand chronically hurts

Positive ANA, dsDNA and Scl70 IgG
Stumbled onto this site doing research. I am in the US. Been ill for years. Just had labs done and ANA came back positive, dsDNA positive at 14 (normal<5) and positive Scl79 IgG at >8 (normal <1.0) Cant see the rheumatologist until April. can you have Lupus as well as scleroderma?

ANA keeps changing
New to this but here goes. Short version - 2009 I had a positive ANA and high dsdna. Was seen by rheumatologist who retested and said they were normal. I remained ill and was retested in 2011 -again positive ANA and high dsdna. But they decided I was ok as and just 'keeping an eye on me'. In 2012

high protein levels in urine
Hi everyone! I had a question. I was diagnosed about 2 years ago with UCTD and have been taking plaquenil since. Things are going well until I just did a physical for life insurance and it came back being high levels of protein in urine. Highest level for the range is 14 and mine came back in at 18.

Trying to interpret blood results? Can any of you wonderful people help.
Hello to anyone reading. I’ve requested my most recent blood test results which gave me a Limited Systemic Sclerosis diagnosis. One thing that strikes me is the Anti dsDNA Antibodies result, my Rheumatologist has NEVER mentioned this? I’ll post a photo, if anyone is good at interpreting them, that would

What is a fever? (Lupus related)
I finally have a rheumatology appointment next Friday so I've been collecting my notes from my previous doctors' appointments and any new developments. Because one of the things we're looking at is lupus, I have been taking my temperature regularly but I have no idea how to interpret it. Yeah I know

Are these normal test results for someone with Hashi?
I haven't been diagnosed with hashimoto but there is a chance I could be since I have had thyroid issues in the past after giving birth. I was diagnosed with post partum thyroiditis and even now that my thyroid levels are back to normal (but I still have thyroid antibodies, low white cell count, antinuclear

Hospitalised and signed off after medics once again fail to understand Hashimotos
I am at home, signed off for two weeks, banned from driving or going back to work until I have a 72hr ECG and an MRI of my head. I went to my GP with visual disturbance in my left eye. I'd had a cold for a month, sinuses were so inflamed I thought they were pressuring my eye. GP sent me straight to hospital

Tested positive ANA titre 320, speckled
I have Hashimoto’s which was diagnosed about 4 years ago. I’ve been running low grade fever, fatigue, achy muscles for awhile so went to GP. She did bloodwork but I’ve only had one short convo with the nurse and she said I tested positive ANA but negative for Lupus. I went in for several more blood tests

Don’t know what to tell my rheumatologist at my 1st appointment.
Recap, I went to my GP for a physical since I had horrible pregnancies which caused my vitamins and minerals to be out of sync as if I were a person with Anorexia and bulimia. I had a condition called Hyperemesis gravidarum back to back as my babies are 2 and 1. I did tell him I felt tinglingly in my

Thoughts?
Hi everyone, I've just got back from seeing my gastro and am a little uncertain, annoyed and confused. He's told me that my AMA levels were positive again but it was weakly positive so he couldn't do the subtype, which confused me because I figured the sub types were actual different tests. He said

Swellings??
Does anyone get swelling below collarbone and at top of sternum with lupus? My right tonsil hurts when I swallow but doesn't look inflamed or red. I have had erythmelalgia again today in right hand and wrist and then a few hours later left side and front of nose went bright red. I've also had a tender

Hi all, so the last lot of bloods my Rheumatologist ordered are considerably more extensive than before. I have had a positive ANA 1:160 up until June 2017 nucleolar pattern and am due for this lot to be taken next week. This time on top of the usual anti-nuclear antibody screen, C34 and anti dsDNA its

LUPUS??????
Hi I'm new to this forum. I have been told by my liver consultant I have tested positive for lupus having positive ANA and double stranded DNA. However he says it maybe due to my PBC. Is it possible to have both of are the test results because of PBC.
