Exercise induced asthma and being an athlete
Hi everyone, So about me: I'm 17, and a wannabe-international hockey player who has recently been diagnosed with asthma. I was asthmatic when I was little - I never had an attack but had both blue and brown inhalers, as did my siblings. By the age of 8 I'd 'outgrown' it and weaned off the inhalers.

Currently being diagnosed
Hi all, I'm new here. I'm currently going through the long process of confirming if I have asthma. When I was around 5, my doctor at the time said I was on the borderline of being asthmatic, but at the time I didn't really have symptoms so it was left at that. Fast forward 20 years and my hay fever started

Losing my voice
Since March of this, I keep losing my voice intermittently. It seems to happen at any time, though I have notice it can occur with dust (my allergy test came back negative for dust mites), fumes or at any time. After running the typical allergy tests, my results came back as normal. I also had an ultrasound

I've got allergies...
Hi folks, I know that a coeliac isn't allergic to gluten but there's an interesting program on Horizon on BBC 2 tonight at 9pm about allergies. This is something that interests me for many reasons and an allergy is when our immune system makes an inappropriate reaction and attacks our own bodies.

Weird sensation
Has anyone felt heat in ears? It started randomly when I was watching tv and thinking about my throat and I thought it was from my throat, but now I dont think so. I dont have chest pains or anything. No heart burn. Can allergies do this?

Allergy unknown
I need advice on a suspected allergy. Recently at the weekend I was at work, and a colleague of mine used my headset to take a call on my phone. Afterwards she gave me my headset back and I noticed my ear which was in contact with the headset had became very itchy. This soon spread to my throat, and

Allergies
I have had four allergic reactions in 15 days, plus a similar one a year ago. My lips and throat swell, I itch all over and get blotches. I have had anti-histamines but they don't seem to work that well, three times I had to go to the doctor for an injection, and today my doctor has given me a 5 day

Food allergy and intolerance myth buster by NHS Choices
Hi everyone, the other day I saw this tool about allergy and intolerance on the NHS Choices website! If you get confused with the differences between allergy and intolerance, have a go with the questionnaire (it only takes a few minutes!): http://www.nhs.uk/Tools/Pages/Food-allergy-myth-buster.aspx

Hay fever, asthma and running.
Hi guys, Wondering if anyone else is struggling to run with hay fever this year? It has made my asthma worse and I can't complete my runs outside any more. I started running on a treadmill (1% incline) for a few weeks instead and got to around week 8 then had to take a few weeks off due to a knee injury

Food sensitivity testing
Hi all, it's my first questions on here so please be gentle.lol. I have been totally GF for 4 months now and am also looking at dairy as I am still reacting to something. I am a autoimmune thyroid patient and am mainly managing my own health problems due to the lack of knowledge from GP's and consultants
