I was advised by an eye professor that it only requires to be out for one week . The NHS are insisting on 2wks but wouldn’t have even informed me if I had nt mentioned

Flecainide and cataract surgery
Has anyone taking regular doses of Flecainide had cataract surgery? My surgeon talked about 'hollows' caused by Flecainide - this made the procedure a little more awkward. He wasn't concerned but I cannot find any references to this anywhere. Anyone help please?

Just need some honest opinions
34 year old male, drinking since age 18. Pretty good shape, not overweight, pretty active, eating fairly healthy. Started drinking at parties and socially and went 2 + years in the span from 18-24 without drinking at all. Started drinking heavier (usually 4-5 drinks per night) around 2013-2014. Since

Cataract Surgery
I had a cataract surgery on my right eye 3 weeks ago and I have a dark crescent in my vision as well as feeling the lens. Am seeing the surgeon again next week but in the meantime does anyone have the same experience?

Myelofibrosis and Cataract Surgery Question
Hi. I am new here and appreciate this forum. I have myelofibrosis and just had cataract surgery. Before the surgery I had didn't always see perfectly because of the myelofibrosis. Does having this cancer affect the cataract surgery? Thank you.

High GGT?
I got a GGT result of 108 in May and immediately stopped drinking. I never drank more than 2 glasses of wine a night. My test results today were 60. I thought they would be back to normal. My AST was normal and ALT was just slightly elevated. 4 points over acceptable range. Should I be worried?

Another update!
Hello all I've had my letter from the consultant come regarding my latest results. I've gone from severe fatty liver to mild fatty liver, and borderline cirrhosis to normal! My liver contour is now as it should be so I'm very pleased. As I still have mild fatty liver I will continue to lose weight

Irridioplasty
Has anyone had or know about this? I had irridotomies over 20 years ago for acute angle closure glaucoma. After an attack in March I have been told that only cataract surgery can open angles but I thought I had read that irridioplasty could do this by laser. I only have small cataracts that are not

Hi folk I’m home from cataract surgery yesterday and just started on the mega routine of drops, so 13 per day in left eye not including the dry eye drops! It was very painful yesterday and now I would say it’s sore. I’m sitting in a shady part of my lounge as everything seems really intense with my left

My mom was diagnosed with PA awhile back and has struggled with proctitis for some time. Is there any connection? Anyone else experience this? Did B12 injections help?

Bilirubin
Hi All, Does anybody know if you can have raised Bilirubin levels, but no trace on a urine strip? Is that how it works? Or does the high Bilirubin always show in urine? Thanks for any input

Diet for fatty liver?
After a bad relapse with alcohol my blood numbers had all gotten raised again, the doctors did tests and say while they are coming down and I don't have cirrhosis I shouldn't drink again and I have fatty liver. Other than staying off alcohol is there a diet I should be sticking too for this? While
