Statin - Side Effects
Actually I am happy to say I do not have any so you might wonder why I am posting? I only check in here every few days as it is all very repetitive particularly on statins. Yes a minute percentage get side effects yet despite numerous posts on the subject often replied to by stalwarts of the forum people

Enlarged liver
Hi I have been told I have a mildly enlarged liver and fatty liver. The ultrasound was private and wasn't the best at relaying information. I knew I had a fatty liver but the enlarged bit has got me really worried. I don't know what it means. I've googled it but had to stop because it was taking me down

Delusions/Hallucinarions
I became very sick 5 years ago with all the symptoms of PA but was undiagnosed. I got to the point where I started having delusions of parasitosis and hallucinations. Has anyone else experienced delusions or halluconations? I'm afraid my brain may have been permanently damaged?

Is there anyone else out there with Brugada?
I was diagnosed with Brugada in 2015 at the age of 69. Since then I have been called a special lady and called unique! I don’t feel it. The condition was diagnosed while having investigations into an arrhythmia. Because of the Brugada, I cannot take any of the usual beta blockers for this condition,

Waiting for blood and ultrasound results, suspected cirrhosis and portal hypertension
Had bloods taken February and Ultrasound March and am awaiting results. I gave up alcohol in February which I haven't found too difficult. The sonographer told me quite a bit, apparently pancreas, kidneys, spleen and gall bladder seem to be okay. There is some scarring on my liver but he said he'd seen

Adjusting Carbidopa levodopa 25 to 100 mg
Over the past several weeks I've noticed jitteriness in the morning and some involuntary movements of my body. I was currently taking 1 + 1/2 Carbidopa levodopa in the morning. 1 Carbidopa levodopa in the afternoon in one pill in the evening. I began to notice these symptoms since the extra half of Carbidopa

Further update on cataract surgery and Floppy Iris
Some months back I said I would ask my cardiologist about my opthalmic surgeon's comments regarding my Floppy Irises and the link to Flecainide. Discussed on this thread: www.healthunlocked.com/afassociation/posts/146652157/update-on-cataract-op-and-flecainide Yesterday I asked my cardiologist about

Probiotics for Parkinson's disease: Current evidence and future directions 2020
So... I'm taking lactobacillus casei Shirota, which is both the probiotic used in the PD study that showed it helped with bowel movements and is also anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, anti-viral, and anti-fungal. It has been shown to reduce the EBV titers in your system too. If you think PD is autoimmune

My Cataract Surgery (Laser) is in 2 weeks
Just wondering from those who have had cataract surgery and taking aspirin and blood thinners, were you told to stop these prior to surgery. Your input would be appreciated. Thanks so much!!

Sulforaphane, NAC, H2O2, and the Circadian Rhythm
I have no answers. Just questions. Questions about Sulforaphane, NAC, and their effects on the Circadian Rhythm.I recently stopped taking my Broccoli Sprout Tea as it boosts NRF2, and boosting NRF2 may amplify the Circadian Rhythm, but if you want to amplify the Circadian Rhythm you probably want to

Dementia and the gut, diet, exercise, cataracts, blue light, resting heart rate, alcohol, frailty.
I found this an interesting (though long) article on Dementia and its relation to the above. Of particular interest to me was the relation to resting heart rate, cataract surgery and blue light, and alcohol. Doesn't dive deep but the research is referenced.https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/does-the-gut-play-a-role-in-dementia-here-is-the-evidence
