I had a cataract surgery on my right eye 3 weeks ago and I have a dark crescent in my vision as well as feeling the lens. Am seeing the surgeon again next week but in the meantime does anyone have the same experience?

Cataract Surgery
I have got the operation on the horizon so I can’t help with your question. I would want to talk to my surgeon as soon as possible though and would ring up to see if it was possible to speak over the phone perhaps. Let us know the outcome, good luck!
I have spoken to the hospital two days after the surgery and they assured me that it is normal as 15% of the patients experience this. Will see what happens in my appointment next week.
I had this on the periphery of each eye after both cataracts. I was assured that in time I would not notice them at all and that is what happened - I am not aware of anything there at all now. I believe it is just being aware of the edge of the implants immediately after the surgery. I could not feel the implants at all though.
I see the "parenthesis" sometimes, like now when I'm thinking about it. It's like seeing the frames of your new eyeglasses. Eventually your brain learns to ignore it.
I also felt the implants a bit for some weeks after the surgery when I was washing my face or unconsciously passed my hands over my eyes, which abated as the swelling reduced. There's not a lot of room in there, so the slightest pressure will make you feel the implants until you are entirely healed.
If you're worried about it, you can likely get an eye doctor or eye technician to take a look and see if everything looks normal. It doesn't have to be your surgeon, but maybe someone on in his office can take a quick look.
Will be seeing the surgeon next week. Am not happy having to put up with the problems.
Hi, I had to have laser surgery to repair a cataract in my right eye a few years ago. My right eye prescription was -7.5, which was a very bad one. I was losing hope because my right eye had almost gone blind. It was a simple, painless, precise, and speedy process. The incision and corneal reconstruction were done with a laser from a nearby clinic ***link removed***. Within a few weeks, my eyesight recovered and was returned to full 20/20 vision, which seemed odd at first. The beautiful part is that I don't have to wear glasses any longer. My vision has improved dramatically, and I strongly advise you to do so!!
