Exenatide : any non diabetic users? Update from those using for diabetes with PD?
I was just prescribed Exenatide by my neurologist. He has faith in the Exenatide trial and has prescribed it to other patients as well. I’m slim with low blood sugar. Can those who are not diabetic but taking Exenatide please share their experience and knowledge? And any info from those taking it

Hyperreflexia
I would love to hear others' experience with hyperreflexia as result of PA. I have periods (often in the last days before my injection), when I get low-level random muscle twitches, mostly in my arms and back, then they subside. I have been found to be hyperreflexive in reflex tests since my PA diagnosis

Lisinopril/ Ace Inhibitors and Ibrutinib
Several weeks ago, it was mentioned on HU, that some people were told to stop Ace Inhibitors while on Ibrutinib. I am wondering if anyone found out what this was all about?

Spider Angioma?
Hi there - What might this be? I've had this kind of mark on my abdomen for many years (since I used to live in West Africa) but recently it looks to be getting more pronounced or "longer" across my abdomen (horizontal). After I shower or work out, it seems like the vein-aspect goes away and its just

After my very traumatic post op telephone call I was right to be seen so it turned out. Possibility of detached retina, need to go back if floaters get worse or I have flashing lights. Great news my pressures are down! However have to remain on all my glaucoma drops, increase the number of dry eye drops

Astra Zeneca vaccine and Abatacept
Morning everyone, I am concerned. Abatacept injections kill my T cells that cause RA in me, and many of you. I have had two Astra Zeneca jabs and they pump T cells into the body to fight Covid. Roemheld Syndrome
At last someone has come up with an interesting article, and of course it is the legend that is Dr. Sanjay. I read his piece on line and within moments thought “tick, tick, tick etc” for nearly all the symptoms. Makes so much sense not only for my AFib, and my ectopics, but also other symptoms which

Ultrasound of liver....sit upright for last part of scan
As the title says in for my yearly US of liver. Usually i go for the scan and lay on my back and both sides while scan is done. This time, at the end, i was asked to sit upright off the side of the bed while my sonographer scanned the liver area, while i sat there. Does anyone know the reason for scanning

Propafenone and Carvedilol
I’ve been prescribed Propafenone alongside my Carvedilol. I have PAF and ventricular ectopics. I tried flecanide and had a bad reaction so that was stopped . I’m concerned that Propafenone also has very bad side effects .

Update to my 10.1 elf
From previous post where dr wouldn't do scan as elf was under 10.5, which nice guidelines do state, but my concern was my drs think anything upto 10.5 is completely normal range with no other references, I did book a private ultrasound last week which showed nothing at all with my liver not even any

Has anyone had problems with flashing after cataract surgery. It is two months since I had both eyes done and I am still troubled with flashes especially in bright light. I have googled it and some articles say it can last up to 4 months to settled. I have always had problems with bright lights prior

Cataracts and PMR
Hello all ! This is my first post as I’ve only just found you after struggling with PMR for 4 years. Prednisolone has apparently contributed to cataracts in both eyes and I’m keen to have surgery. Does anyone know what the minimum dose of Pred is for cataract surgery?

Update 5.7
Now at 8 weeks out from initiating treatment for PV with Pegasys, things continue to go well. I am still not having any adverse effects at 45mcg/1x-week. Platelets are down to 477, the lowest they have been in quite some time. HCT is slowly creeping up, now at 44.2%. HGB 13.4 and RBC 6.68 also slowly

Imbruvica ibrutinib & ACE inhibitors
I have just been told to stop my ramipril due to an interaction with ibrutinib having the risk of sudden cardiac death! Anyone visually impaired running?
Hello, I am on Week 7 and I’m amazed at what I’ve achieved so far! I’m using a treadmill in the gym, because I have poor peripheral vision due to retinitis pigmentosa (RP) and worry about tripping on treestumps/ running into lampposts/ branches/ toddlers if I ran outside. Even running on the treadmill
