cataract surgery lenses
Hello again, and thank you for all your input re this process, now I have to decide, how much I have to pay for the 2 lenses suggested by surgeon, I am in ontario, and ohip benefits have apparently changed since a few years ago, so I am told by surgeon, the lowest out of pocket lens, at $225 would do

Cataract surgery
I am 60 years young and was diagnosed in May of 2008. I need cataract surgery on my left eye. Has anyone had complications with the surgery? I have SPMS. Thank you for any response!

How much cortisol in Adrenal Cortex extracts?
I saw some adrenal cortex extract products on iherb that you can freely buy. Most of adrenal cortex extracts have 50-100mg of Adrenal Cortex Tissue (Bovine, Lyophilized). Do anybody know if hormones are removed or there are still presented?

Usability study
Hi everyone, I'm doing a study about how easy it is to use mobile phones. If you have Diabetic Macular Edema or Neovascular Age Related Macular Degeneration and would be interested in taking part please let me know. The study takes about 2hrs and we also pay for your time and expenses if you take part

Macular degeneration in 2nd eye
I have wet macular degeneration in my right eye for the last 3 years and it has just now started in my left unfortunately. Three days ago I received my first Eylea injection in the left eye and since that time the vision has been worse than it was before the shot - has anyone else experienced this?

Has anybody experimented with the carnivore diet?
Obviously exploring for solutions, I’ve ordered my ultra thyroid test of medicheck so hopefully that’ll shine some light on things but that aside! Has anyone got any experience with this since I’ve seen so much about people with autoimmune saying they feel so much better on it. I myself have done keto

Remission! Then what?
In 2009, I had a upper right lobe lobectomy. Simple, stayed the Lahey Clinic for about a week. The nursing staff was great, my wish was their command. I could not have asked for better. The first 5 years were simply a piece of cake. No meds, continued physical activity with no changes. I was cancer free

What is the Cataract operation and recovery like?
Had my visit to the consultant yesterday and after the OCT scan he said that the Eylea (after 9 injections) had worked and that the bad eye which had Wet AMD had dried completely which was good news. He said he would put me on the waiting list for a cataract op for that eye to improve the vision. It

Blood pressure medication and certain foods
This evening I took my blood pressure and found that it was slightly raised - 134 / 77, okay nothing special about that (my norm is around 125 / 75), but what was unusual was that my pulse was down at 45. I usually record a rate of between 55 and 60, so I decided to find out what was happening. My current

Green smoothies
I am dentally as well as visually challenged, and find it hard to chew kale, salad etc. I thought I'd try green smoothies as a substitute for lutein containing veg. Can anyone recommend the best juice for this? and dosage? I am also diabetic, so very sweet smoothies are out. Ann with the Hat

Can you ever be compensated again if you have varices ?
Good morning, hope you are all as well as you can be right now. I have been a bit down in the dumps all weekend following a disasterous job interview on Friday. I normally manage to stay fairly positive but definitely got the blues at the moment and have been fretting a bit about my health. I actually

Cirrhosis as a result of Alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency (AATD) - does anyone have any experience of this?
Hi Everyone, I was recently diagnosed with "early stage cirrhosis secondary to Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease" and today I had an endoscopy which showed several (non-bleeding) varices. I was chatting to my brother this afternoon about my diagnosis and tests and he just happened to say "do you remember

Eplerenone
I'm thinking of asking my GP to prescribe me eplerenone for my hypertension. I have read the one or two reports about Spironolactone v Eplerenone. Eplerenone seems to have better outcomes, less sie effects though expensive.

PALLIATIVE CARE
Feeling very naked and exposed, Peeps has spent most of September in the Liver Unit at London Bridge Hospital but has finally been sent home to die. There is nothing more that can medically be done. He is now subject to Palliative Care at home with the help of the GP, District and Hospice Nurses but
