Sense of loss
It was only for a few moments before I started thinking normally again, but it just goes to illustrate just how powerful nicotine
addiction
is that its sudden absence can have that kind of effect - I literally conflated giving up smoking with loss and grief! Anyway, 4 day mark; still winning.

I’m a user research student recently working on a project to help people get free or low price treatment from psychologist and therapist to quit addictions. Please take 5 minutes fill out the survey, or even help me to correct the questions. Your help will be very appreciated. Edited by Monky, please

CIGARETTES OR FOOD?
I have gained 14lb which is not good news, so I feel like I have gone from one
addiction
to another.... I have just had my cholesterol level checked and its slightly high, so another thing to contend with!!

A new freedom
Instead i realized that I'm the lucky one and that any one of these people would do anything to be standing in my shoes and have so far escaped for 10 days from the clutches of that horrible

Another Year Gone!
was the one thing that kept me going and still keeps me strong when every now and then a little temptation creeps in 😈 N.O.P.E is the best mantra ever as it really is that one single puff that will undo the quit and my rescue babies can't afford a human mummy that spends too much money on a horrible

Brain Pain/Skull Pain
It works great, no
addiction
, no hangover. I've also been on Cymbalta for a couple years. I was having brain pain back then, and the Cymbalta cured it. And. it sure helped with my depression a bit. Any one else? Joe

Interesting Article for Menstruating Women (and people who care about them)
I noticed that my cravings for alcohol change during certain times of the month so I did a little digging and found this article: http://www.scientificamerican.com/article/shes-hooked/ This is really important information for women who want to temper their vices or are struggling with
addiction

Pelvic pain, body pain, anxiety
I've also developed a very mild Percocet
addiction
sincelast summer and can't go a day without taking at least 5mg even when I tell myself no. I blame it on the pain I have even though it's really because I like the high they give me and the pain doesn't subside that much from them anymore.

Utterly hopeless; bulimic, terrified of being... lost and realistically i don't believe i'll ever get 'better'.
I've made five pathetic attempts at overdose in the past but became fixed on the idea that the slow, painful, disgraceful death by eating disordered-ness,
addiction
and failure would be more fitting. Pathetic. If they brought in assisted suicide i'd feel i ought to, and as enough already.

I've tried to stop smoking a few times over the years but allways found a way or reason to go back to them, I personally feel the only way I will beat this
addiction
/habbit is to go cold turkey as I'm a bit of a all or nothing kind of person, the longest time I've successfully been smoke free in that
