I can't cry or shed tears!
Hello Everyone, I have a great concern about my eyes. I can't seem to cry at all or shed any tears! That worries me so much! I used to be able tp cru when I felt the need to do so but now I can't. My eyes seem dry...very dry! I didn't have this problem until I started taking and stopping that beta blocker

Xgeva / calcium & vitamin D.
New anecdotal paper. Part of my wife's treatment for solitary plasmacytoma is Xgeva every 3 months. She was told to use a calcium supplement, & the oncologist regularly monitors blood levels. It's common knowledge these days that calcium alone does not guarantee bone health, & that vitamin D is needed

Update on progress
Well, thought I would just send out a quick update on how I have got on this week. I had two appointments, one with a physio and then my dexa scan. Both were very positive in as much as I came away feeling supported and encouraged to keep going. Physio is suggesting a referral to a rheumatologist so

Meds, Supplements and Vitamins . . . Yay or Nay
My husband, who is 53, was diagnosed 5 years ago with Parkinson's. He is a Stage 4 colon cancer survivor of 15 years. He was a soybean, rice and crawfish farmer until 2 years ago. Now he stays super busy, from sun-up to sundown, with the cattle and horses. He's in constant pain in his lower back . .

I take folic acid 5mg, levo 100mg,

D3
(twice daily) and now atorvastatin 20mg. I take the folic acid, D3 and statin at bedtime. I take my levo to bed and usually take sometime between 3am and 5am when I wake for a drink. I then take my other D3 about 7.30am before going to work.

Prework FET, postwork FET - Positive result (warning)
Ladies, I thought I’d share with you our journey so far.. I did a lot of research after our failed IUI and IVF. I wanted to make sure that the next round we do, will be the last. The first step for me was I had to eliminate alcohol, caffeine and sugar from my diet for at least 2-3 months before FET

OSTEOPOROSIS
Good morning, I would like to have some explanations about my results: Moc confirmed femoral T-score 2,6 and vertebral T-score 3,2. Morphometric study confirmed anterior reduction of d7 vertebral body (4 mm). Vitamin d3 level resulted 9,7. Which is the diagnosis and what do you suggest? I'm 54 years

Needing advice for my daughters hypothyroid issues/dosing please
Hi to all. I have been watching this site for some time in hopes of understanding the thyroid functions better and staying a step ahead of Dr’s. I’m afraid I’m a bit overwhelmed and needing advice, please. My daughter is 20. She was diagnosed hypo in June of this year. We live in the US. In retrospect

GCA helpful information (I hope).
17 months after I first had GCA symptoms , I thought it might be helpful to share/ summarise some useful information that I (and my GP!) have picked up in the meantime. 1 DIAGNOSIS: the recommendations are that if you have visual symptoms, you go straight on to 60 mg daily of steroids ( Prednisolone

First testing results - would appreciate feedback
After researching hypo relating to my daughter, decided to get checked myself. Had them drawn early this morning. I do not take any medication for thyroid nor do I have any diagnosis at this time, but I sure have a lot of symptoms that could be attributed to thyroid. I am in the US and was able to

Vitamin D
I am sure all of us know about vitamin D (and most likely all of us were vitamin D deficient at least at the onset of MS). Here is another article about vitamin D (article also copied and pasted below): https://www.everydayhealth.com/news/illnesses-linked-vitamin-d-deficiency/?eh_uid=80592249&slot=1&
