Adcal-D3

Would appreciate your input before appointment with NP/GP: also on Ferous numerate as was previously low, and take 1-2 Adcal D3 daily.

Due to the PMR I started in June taking Adcal-D3 750mg/200unit caplets x 2 twice a day. These are the results good -fair -bad? I am a female 62 no issues.

My other issue is my nurse has told me to stop Adcal d3 and only continue with Vit D3 she will do a blood test in 3 months to recheck calcium levels.

Lunchtime I take Adcal D3 and Atorvastatin 20mg then a 2nd Adcal D3 with evening dinner. I've been a Vegetarian for ~30 years and previously to PMR took Multivitamins every day as B12 deficiency can be a problem in veggies I believe. Question.

I have been on levothyroxine 75mg for few years now I have to take alendronic acid and adcal d3 for my bones. I now read you should not take aa and levo at same time been prescribed to take in morn. The adcal d3 at night wondered if anyone on same how they take them.

No other meds, just AdCal D3. Don't want to mess things up towards the finish line. Busy active person. Asked my large surgery for a Cortisol test. Never heard of it. They've contacted Addenbrookes for advice!

I saw a rheumatologist and he prescribed adcal d3 caplets and Risedronate . Initially I had a few side effects , mainly gastro as I have a sensitive stomach anyway and some bowel issues which have eased.

I take Levothyroxine 100mg Lisinopril 10mg Cyanocominn 50mg Adcal-D3 and I’m still on Prednisilone 7mg ( lowest I have got down to is 5mg but can’t seem to get below 7mg at the moment) I occasionally take Co-Codamol for Osteoarthritis in knees.

I have been on steroids since March 2024 for (PMR) and tapering, currently at 10mg also Adcal D3 . Why I am surprised, is that I am a yoga teacher and practice / teach yoga eight to 10 times a week for years.

saw locumGP last week, started Adcal D3. Do I need AA and Lansaprozal please? I feel very light headed which I assume is my body adapting to Prem, so reluctant to add more to the mix. So grateful for this forum.

Has anyone else suffered from nausea when taking Adcal-D3 chewable? I was wondering if the tablets contain lactose, as I'm allergic to it. Since having been diagnosed with a fractured L2 and osteoporosis, the RA team and my GP both recommend them. I was taking Solgar Calcium Citrate with Vit D.

My question is - Adcal-D3 has vitamin D3 400 IU which would make it 4,400 IU D3 per day. Is this amount ok to take? Should I stop taking Adcal and find a another source of Calcium, if so which is best?
