Clear glasses for dry eyes
I have exceptionally dry eyes caused by long term use of Cosopt and Monopost for glaucoma. I also use prescribed Carmellose sodium eye drops 1% eight times daily and HyLo night ointment. I have had three corneal ulcers and one onset of marginal keratitis in the last 19 months. (I am attending hospital

Besremi Adverse Effect??
I have experienced what may be arthralgia as a Besremi adverse effect. here is the exchange with the MPN Specialist on this topic.

Just a head up. I increased the dose of Besremi to 150mcg on 05/25. Prior, I had experienced some unexplained pain in the right achilles tendon that I thought

Anyone tried Iqoro?
My barium swallow showed severe
reflux
. As medication to reduce
acid
doesn’t seem to work I wonder if trying the IQoro exerciser will strengthen my lower oesophageal sphincter which doesn’t close properly. Has anyone used it with good results?

Best blood values
Already learned a lot in this forum and from other sources about optimal blood values for Vit D and B12. Just wonder if similar recommendations exist for zinc, selenium, iodine, iron and omega 3 and 6? I’m on WFPBD, take some supplements and check my blood values every three months, some more expensive

DEXA scan....success
I asked for a DEXA scan a few months in to my PMR/GCA journey around 3.5 years ago. Thanks to the good advice on this forum I wanted to get a reading before I started with Alendronate. My gp felt it was unnecessary but I stood my ground. I was diagnosed with osteopaenia and so have been taking Alendronate

I also suffer from
acid

Latest visit to the Rhemy
I'm on 8mg steroids, 15mg methotrexate (to get me off the steroids) and Alendronic Acid for OP. My neck and wrists have been in getting worse as I reduce. I wake up with wrists throbbing and am finding it hard to dress myself again. I thought by reducing to 8mg the specialist would be happy but also

Co Enzyme Q10 & Alpha Lipoic Acid : good anti oxidants or not helpful bad ideas? Do they extend Healthspan or reduce inflammation?
I take both. I just ordered more regrettably as I’m now reconsidering the evidence behind both. I know many others on HU take them as well. What is the science to explain why? My reason for taking ALA is a lame one. Dr. David Sinclair does. But as I look in to this more I think that maybe neither
