Good to know, I too have reflux with meds however lately it hasn't bothered me. I have found out, garlic makes my stomach rumble! 😋

I do better to just stay away from hot & spicy foods !! But not really on low carb diet much , but trying to try new at home recipes but still hard to find items that we can fix, stay on diet and be able to afford what all some recipes call for !!!??

Oh, I know it's very expensive to eat healthy. Do you and your wife eat the same thing? I don't have that, my companion wants his usual foods although he has started getting his own breakfast and lunch. Altho he doesn't eat healthy for sure, never has and he drinks and smokes but his liver is fine!

I try to stay on this low carb diet, 30 to 50 carbs per day usually 2 meals.

I also have reflux and take medication. Acidic foods can really trigger it.

Yes that is my downfall but by staying on low carb diet I succeed alot better.

Are you doing Keto or just low carb? I was on Keto two years ago (no more than 20 net carbs per day), lost over 50 pounds, but little to no change in GERD. Went off Keto because I got concerned about too much fat (though I stuck mostly to plant and nut fats) and my fatty liver. The fats on Keto apparently didn't hurt me as my liver ultrasound last year and this year don't mention fatty liver at all but said normal and no lesions. I took this to mean that my fatty liver of the last 15 years has returned to normal. Been thinking of returning to the Keto lifestyle but I get nervous about the amount of fats on Keto even though I had good results. Would love to know if you are concerned about fats.

my fatty liver went away as did most of my fibrosis. I have been 18 mos. on low carb diet 30 crabs a day, but lately diet dr. said since net carbs are out there now strong. I could either go 30 net carbs or 50 whole carbs, but I still stay 20 to 30 carbs a day, 2 meals mostly. Can give you a listing of what I eat if you are interested. I have lost 55lbs, but they want me to loose 60 more. so back to the drawing boards. Just let me know. Ron
