Alendronic acid tablets š
Iāve been taking these for a few months and understand that they have to be swallowed properly, and whilst upright, as they can cause problems in the oesophagus. Does anyone one else struggle with these blooming things, even with loads of water etc. Why oh why do they have to be the size of a horse

Happy New Year to you all and may it be a great one. I recently had a Dexa Scan and result is minor of Osteoporosis I guess that would be Osteopenia. Suggestion is by my GP to take Alendronic Acid, which after reading information about it raised many questions. Can i take it or there is more kinder

Vitamine C and a flare-up?
Hello to everyone. I feel that a very large dose of vitamine C has caused my present flare and I'm just wondering if anyone else has been in this situation. I've had RA for over 30 years and after the first year or two in has settled in my hands, wrists, feet and ankles, so I consider myself lucky.

12 week old with Reflux
My 12 week old has been having feeding issues and
acid
reflux
, so having really poor weight gain and on the 2nd percentile. Not sure anyone on here has been in a similar situation? We just wanted to get him to a stage where he is gaining more weight and in a percentile that is right for him.

Treating muscle pain post zoledronic acid infusion
I had my first zoledronic acid infusion just over 24 hours ago. I was recommended to take some paracetamol before bed, which I did. I had some migraine associated visual disturbances just before I turned my light out, but slept through OK. This morning I developed a headache, so took more paracetamol

Having pain for 3/4 weeks
Hello, I was wondering if anyone else struggle with pain when they are not on their period. I struggle with cramps, lower back pain and hip pain the week before my period, the week of my period and the week after so I seem to only get 1 week out of 4 where I'm not in pain. I had an internal ultrasound

He was interested that I'd been diagnosed with
acid
reflux
"backwards" āI have bronchiectasis therefore I must have reflux, but said right-sided bronchiectasis is usually down to aspiration, and that's why the conclusion was reached.

Omeprazole query
Recently diagnosed and on prednisolone; also prescribed Alendronic acid (weekly dose) and Omeprazole. I thought my GP said that as I have no history of gastric problems to only take the Omeprazole in the evening before I take the alendronic acid the next day. But she has prescribed enough for once daily

Zoledronic acid plus teriparatide
Hi everyone, newbie here. My wife is about to go onto treatment for fairly severe osteoporosis after a fall involving fractures to 3 lumbar vertebrae. According to a letter from her consultant to her GP, the consultant seemingly wants her to go onto zoledronic acid plus teriparatide. We're due to discuss

DX 5 years on Dec 26th. What Iāve learned about my PD. Please Read! It might be helpful.
PD is very common in my family. My dad and his dad had it. I have almost no hope they will ever cure it because itās so complex. Here is what caused my Parkinsonās. (IMO) 1.Genetics. This is something you cannot change. I know my genes have issues with clearing out toxins? PD is a man made disease

Has anyone done an Organic Acid Test(OAT)?
Iāve been doing a lot of testing lately to determine what I should be eating or supplementing. The OAT will test methylation, b vitamins, oxalates, Mitochondria, amino acids and more. It also tests some neurotransmitters related to dopamine but understanding how I can use that information is above my

Good news on the bone density front
Hi, this group is helpful and supportive and feels like an extended family. So I just wanted to share a bit of good news. I had a DXA 18 months ago not long after starting Prednisolone and my scores were: -0.1 in the spine which was healthy but not so good in the hip: -1.9 Total Hip T score

Amino acid complex, is it worth trying?
I have been seeing more and more about amino acids and the possible benefits for those with hypothyroidism. Their importance for conversion, also their benefits regarding liver health. I'm also type2 diabetic, it seems there may be benefits there too. Have any of you looked into this? If so are there
