Hi you must get more professional advice, Myself I would not take it, If you have Lichen, As Alendronlic Acid can cause problems with your jaw.I only took it for 3 months and it has left me with Acid problems, and stomach errosives.

And a lot of people have no problems.

Because I cannot take them they have also offered me the injections

Which I didnt want.

Hi - I have oral lichen planus and have been taking alendronic acid for just over 2 years. The last few months I have had discomfort in my throat /oesophagus (think after a tablet seemed to get stuck).Am still taking it after taking omeprazole the night before but will be asking consultant if I could try the infusion route.

Not sure if this helps but doesn't seem to have affected the oral lichen planus.

It is a dilemma.

Good luck in whatever you decide x
