Experiences of amphotericin?
Small person is off to 5* on Friday for her fortnight of the ‘good stuff’, a little earlier than planned although mostly ok overall, but with the addition of amphotericin alongside IV colomycin and piptaz. I’ll post a proper update soonish, as there’s been quite a bit going on even with lockdown happening

W1R3 - completed!
Got up and did my run 3 today, which I should have done yesterday but got too sore on my long walk (see previous post). I am an idiot for two reasons, one - I didn't stretch before this one, and two - I thought I was on my final run so went all out and then found out I had one more run to do so had to

Zombie-like, has anyone experienced episodes of this?
Has anyone experienced episodes of becoming 'zombie-like'? I have post concussion syndrome. I am a single mother with a 6, 4 and 2 year old. My 6yo has PTSD which has to be constantly managed. It is just me and my children 24 hours a day 365 days a year. My last 'zombie' episode last 7hours and I obviously

Glycerine suppository
After a severe bout of diarrhoea I was unable to go the toilet for the following 6 days. For the first timeI used a glycerine suppository which had almost immediate affect. As my IBS seems to be caused by anxiety about needing to use a toilet outside my home I wonder whether it would be a good idea

Running in hail???
Ugh, had actually been really psyched up to move on to W4R1, having really surprised myself with getting through W3. I went for my first run in the rain the other day, but that was just a light sprinkle and it was actually quite refreshing, and dare I say, I think I actually enjoyed myself. However,

My 4 year old daughter keeps soiling herself at school but not at home 🥺

Thank you for dental advice.
Thank you for your help to the seven ladies who gave me dental advice. I have clove oil now and I will battle for an appointment when the time comes. Pauline, your fall was shocking and I am so glad your teeth were restored. There are so many things that can go wrong with teeth and very vulnerable on

7 year old not dry
He is quite capable of going to the toilet but he either forgets or get distracted and has
accidents
all the time. He doesn't seem to worried but I'm worried what the kids at school might tease him about. Doctors have ruled out medical issues so any advice is appreciated thank you

Week 5 complete
Those 20 minutes were hard, but I didn’t stop - legs were shaking a bit at the end but walking calmed them down. Happy to have Week 5 under my belt & hoping the rain stops for long enough on Wednesday when I start week 6.

New here: prolapsed rectum and straining to do soft poos??
Sorry for long post and lots of poo details! My son suddenly started wetting the bed nearly every night a few weeks ago (he's nearly 7). He's had a few wet nights in the past but we'd never worried about it before. No UTI, so we started with an alarm. Then we realised he had been/was having soiling

My Dad Tracheostomy failed again
What was a good day yesterday where we managed to get smile and a kiss for the kids. Today his was agitated and uncomfortable and he managed to pull his feeding tube and the trach was leaking, he back in the ventilator and in light sedation. Tomorrow they hope to review it and may redo the Tracheostomy

Finally, some good news! Pegasys and Phlebotomies are working!
PV JAK2+ diagnosed in Jan 2020 after suffering a TIA. Doc put me on twice daily baby aspirin, and Pegasys at only 25% dose (25ml/45mcg). After 8 weeks, my platelets are back under 400 and alongside the monthly phlebotomies, my Hct is now below 45%. Not much to notice in side-effects either - just some

A few questions about post concussion syndrome
Nearly 6 months from a car accident and 3 months on from being diagnosed with Post Concussion Syndrome my main symptoms are headaches / migraines, fatigue and photophobia. I am wondering about a few things that maybe you can help with: GP has referred me for MRI has anyone had one, is there any point

A bad night, a morning run and how running brings a little magic in to our lives! ✨🙂
I posted this on the 'Bridge to 10k' forum after my run yesterday but thought it would be good to post it here as well - just to show that we can all struggle with getting out the door sometimes, even those of us who graduated several years ago...! I know many of us get these little blips - especially

Minoxidil 5% ED, Dizziness, Headache, Testicle pain
Hi, I am 24 yo, no medical conditions and had been using Minoxidil 5% for 1.5months(50 ml used in total), after this period I suddently started to have headaches, dizziness, zero libido and ED. I stopped using after the first symptoms and now is the second week without minox, but it is still pretty bad
