Dad has been bedridden for 2 months Post-Covid
Hi all, my father has been in a wonderful rehab center since 5/23. He is slowly, very slowly, regaining certain muscles. For example, the nurses sit him up and he can hold the seated position on his own for 1-2 minutes, and can sway his body left and right. He could only hold the position for 8 seconds

Medication Dilemma
Last year I was on a cocktail of asthma drugs. Around this time I was regularly hitting my PB. I began to feel uncomfortable taking so many drugs and decided that I wanted to try controlling my asthma with combo inhaler and salbutamol. For the last 6 months or so I’ve not been anywhere near the PB set

Random attacks
I think most of us are aware of what causes flare ups, be it specific foods, stress etc. But does anyone just get random attacks for no reason? This week I’ve had 2 really bad bouts of diarrhoea, Imodium helped but I still have the cramps and general pains. Nothing unusual eaten this week, been good

Some words of encouragement
Hi everyone, I've been dealing with some bad anxiety as of late. It's not the first time, I've had it a lot the past few years but it's been controllable. Anyway as I said it's been bad recently and I've been having irrational fears of death and just been dizzy and spaced out a lot. A lot of this is

Things to Buy when Rehab is Over?
Happily, my father is out of intensive care and progressing well enough to go to acute rehab. We feel very blessed and I’m very grateful to have found this site- it was extremely helpful when we were going through the worst of it. Obviously we will communicate with the professionals and do as they recommend

Sunday’s poem
One, Two, Three By Henry Cuyler Bunner It was and old, old, old, old lady And a boy that was half-past three, And the way that they played together Was beautiful to see. She couldn't go romping and jumping, And the boy, no more could he; For he was a thin little fellow, With a thin little twisted

Help! Switching milk feeds from baby bottle to sippy cup....
Looking for some help please. My son is 1 and I know by now I need to stop using normal baby bottles for his milk. I'm having real trouble though as every single other thing I've tried he's just thrown a massive tantrum at, spat the milk out, aggressively pushed the bottles away, thrown them around and

Diffuse Axonal Injury
My husband was involved in a serious car accident in sept 2018. He spent 6 weeks in an induced coma and we were then told he had diffuse axonal injury. He also had a serious leg injury. He now walks with a stick after an operation but hes still not confident. He has lived with carers in a rented property

Much worse during heatwave
For a long time my IBS has mainly caused problems with constipation to the extent that I usually take Movicol daily and sometimes need a glycerin suppository as well. During this current heatwave I have switched right over to diarrhoea mode - lots of loose motions and cramps. I haven`t taken Movicol

Struggle with fibre
Hi it seems that any kind of fibrous food sets my IBS off, and fatty foods give me heartburn. Do you think there may be a reason for this? I am taking some probiotics and will take Imodium regularly, although on lockdown haven’t needed to. So really just asking if anyone else is the same and what foods

The Road Less Traveled
Cancer has been the death default if man survives famine , wars,
accidents
and other diseases. Mother Nature wants us gone to preserve the earth’s resources needed to nourish the next generation . If man lived forever the planet would be consumed by its inhabitants.
