Help with treatment option given!
Just wondering if any of you have been put on triptorelin injections as a way of treatment and if so how did it effect you? I have endo but also suffer terrible heavy periods which have decreased my iron levels dramatically. My gynecologists has told me a hysterectomy is the only thing guaranteed to

Super Micro Surgery
Hello All, My wife has Lymphedema in one leg following a hysterectomy for cancer of the womb. During the procedure 29 surrounding lymph nodes were removed. We have come across various clinics that offer surgery to correct or partially correct her condition. Does any one have experience of this type

Not going to graduate this year
It’s been going really well, I’m officially a runner according to Laura and I’m on schedule to graduate on Christmas Day. Except this morning I’ve had a call from the hospital, and there’s a cancellation available for my abdominal surgery listed for April. I’ve been working hard on my fitness/weight

GP suspects PMR
Having had endometriosis & fibroid problems for several years i had a total
abdominal
hysterectomy
on 23rd April this year. The recovery was steady as expected. Once up & about probably 6 weeks in, i developed severe hip pains especially with walking. I just put it down to the recovery.

Hysterectomy
Hello, I was diagnosed with endometriosis and uterine fibroids in 2017. I was sterilized during my section with my 3rd child in 2014. I always suffered from heavy periods as well as severe pain and for a long time was fobbed off and told this was normal. After the birth of my 3rd child I seemed to struggle

Blood test results for Thyroid & Vitamins ...please can someone help me?
Hi everyone, I had a private blood test for my Thyroid and Vitamins by Medichecks online and I finally have my blood test results. I’m told my thyroid is normal yet again, despite my symptoms, but told I need to increase my Vitamin D supplement and my B12. I have been taking Vitamin D for around 6 months

Laparoscopic surgery for submucosal fibroid
Has anybody out there had a submucosal uterine fibroid measuring 4cm removed via laparoscopic surgery? I recently have been to an appointment with the gynae and was told the only surgical treatment for this type of fibroid is uterine ablation or hysterectomy and I am not sure I agree.

Laparoscopy yesterday, no diagnosis, don’t know what to do?!
As I came round from my general anaesthetic laparoscopy yesterday my gynaecology consultant put photo on my Bed and told me it showed my “pristine uterus” Previously he told me it was a higher than 50% chance he wouldn’t find anything and that the next step is hysterectomy. But I have no diagnosis.

Me Too ?
Is it easier to do a hysterectomy on those of certain age who have suffered severe dysmennhorea/hormonal imbalance since they were 9 - pubity - is it normal to tell those who have had endo found on self funded trans- scan as smears & Investigation refused ,don't have , even when too painful to examine

It's been 9 months since my last post but I'm back and almost 48 hours smoke free!!
Hello friends new and old. I've been gone for 9 months. And smoking heavily. I am paying the price but trying to quit again. I haven't been well. My health is deteriorating. I just had a partial hysterectomy a week and a half ago. I am also being screened for leukemia and exhibiting signs of throat cancer

Post Hysterectomy pain?
Hi... I had my total laparoscopic hysterectomy with ovarian conservation and excision of endometriosis around pelvis and behind my belly button on the 31st of October this year. It has been a rollercoaster in terms of recovery as I developed 2 infections , after being treated with an antibiotics course

prostap
I had my first monthly injection of prostap (part of a 6 month course before my second hysterectomy to remove my ovaries) 4 weeks ago. There hasn’t been any change in the pain it’s just the same but I feel constantly tired even though I’m on iron tablets and multi vitamins, have a constant headache and
