OMG I had that.... in fact my sex life sucks! Lol

I went to the docs in the end as I was convinced they’d left something in me, it was so painful. There was nothing there as she examined me fully. Think it is because I’m anxious and because I never do it ... I actually feel anxious all the time to be honest... probably the menopause! I’m so glad I don’t have my fibroids and the awful periods and endometriosis but it’s true that when one thing is fixed, another thing comes along...

I would suggest going to the docs like I did just to make sure it’s all ok down there then buy some rescue remedy and take a deep breath....

always here to talk. Jane x

Ps ... my pain is sharp!!!

I havent attempted sex yet as I'm too scared and even my surgeons speculum was super painful. I've had major vaginal narrowing since the surgery. My surgeon prescribed estrogen cream. I'm 37 and kept my ovaries but I guess the surgery has caused my ovaries to stop functioning normally. If you have narrowing and dryness that could be the case for you too.

Hi there

Maybe worth asking your doctor about local oestrogen, eg vagifem and use a good moisturiser and lubricant. I can thoroughly recommend The YES company. Their water based products are available on prescription. Their oil based lube is fabulous.

It’s also possible that you might have a problem with the scar tissue on the vaginal cuff. Worth getting checked out?

Xx
