Hysterectomy or not?
Hysterectomy? After many years of pain, terrible periods and seeing about 3 consultants, I had the Prostap injection for 3 months which took away the pain and seemed to work. I was all set for a hysterectomy but had an MRI scan to double check. It came back totally clear, !! I know the pain I am in

HRT post hysterectomy
I’m after a bit of general advice. I’m about 12 weeks post total hysterectomy and I’m 42. They started me on Tibolone and it was great at first. My memory is terrible, I’m having these horrid episodes where I can’t think straight/concentrate. My moods are so up & down & I’m exhausted. I’m warm but not

Good stories about Hysterectomy
I have stage 4 frozen pelvis. I'm 43 and had my 3 children. After having several operations and issues for years my Endo specialist has suggested a full hysterectomy. He was originaly only going to remove my right ovary along with all the attached cysts but after my most recent scan he said everything

Monthly brown discharge years after hysterectomy
I have monthly pains when I should be having my period but as I had a hysterectomy 2 years ago I don’t actually bleed but I do get a brown discharge with the pain. My ovaries are still in so get all the symptoms and get real bad ovulation pain too. On waiting list for next lap but the wait goes on forever

Recovery time after full hysterectomy and open bowel surgery
I have a full hysterectomy coming up and open bowel surgery. I know everyone has different recovery times but what is the general time? I’m really scared about it all and how I’m going to feel physically and mentally

Just at home after having the operation, two surgeons, had to do pararectal surgery also. He said one in seven chance endo growing back with HRT that was my fourth operation, the secinf this year so I ain't taking that chance. Taking progesterone oil but nothing else. Its tough, pain, hormonal migraine

4 month post op question
Hi ladies I hope you’re having a pain free day. I just had a question about my recovery and wondered if anyone would be able to advice or give me some guidance. I had a pretty textbook recovery from my full hysterectomy, I had my post-op follow up and everything was totally fine. In the last week

Haemolytic Aneamia
Hi I am wondering if anyone else with An under active Thyroid and takes levothyroxine has been diagnosed with Haemolytic anaemia. Mine seems to have come about because I have fibroids in my uterus and am waiting for a hysterectomy, but the anaemia is a another immune disorder. Just wondering if anyone

Bowel adhesions - recovery time?
Hi all, I had a hysterectomy in August 2018. I had endometriosis and adenomyosis. I kept one ovary. I’ve since had a ‘blood filled cyst’ (endometrioma?) which has been causing me some pain, bloating and I’ve generally been feeling systemically unwell. I had a follow up operation ten days ago where

Cervix removal yes/no? Hysterectomy confirmed.
Hi I am waiting on a date for my
abdominal
hysterectomy
. (Adenomyosis and fibroids). Ovaries appear on MRI to be ok so consultant has said they will stay unless no choice during surgery. I am mid 40s. I have been asked to decide if I want to keep my cervix.

Op coming up for hysterectomy and bowel
I have stage 4 endometriosis. It’s on my bowel and rectum. So I have been to see a number of specialists and because it is so severe and it does keep coming back they want to take everything away. I am having a full hysterectomy including ovary removal. Part of my rectum is being removed and bowel surgery

Could this be linked to hormone imbalance following hysterectomy with BSO? (9.5 months post surgery)
I am 9.5 months post hysterectomy with BSO. I'm not well. It started about 6 months post surgery. I am thinking I'm going through a hormone imbalance but family physician, cardiologist and neurologist don't believe my symptoms are linked to my hormones. The gynecologist doesn't recommend any hormone

FINALLY-LIFE BACK!
After 10 years of debilitating, excruciating, bed ridden pain in the groin, LLQ, 36 doctors, 15 procedures, *award for longest medication list of narcotics, 3 types of PT (one being internal for 2 years!) and 2 years of injections, my daughter sent me a video based on PUDENDAL NEURALGIA/NEUROPATHY signs

Advice on a prophylactic hysterectomy
I have adenocarcinoma of serous papillary - epithelial and am 75 years old and Stage 3c. Even though I am negative BRCA 1 and 2, my oncologist said our two daughters are high risk for getting OV cancer. Should they get hysterectomies prophylactically (if their doctors recommend it)? Their ages are
