This post has been a long time in the making, Ive been so busy and so fed up. Sex became really painful quite a few months back but not directly after hysterectomy. Its started maybe 9 to 10 months after. Its actually sore at the perenium where You wd have an episiotomy for childbirth but I have never had that feeling of being "split" there. I feel that septum in between opening of vagina & back passage stretching and painful on entering even with lubrication.
Really miserable at 41 to be feeling terribly painful during sex.
Feel like hysterectomy has not been kind to me.
Im almost 2 years past now.
Any advice welcome.
I want my groove back and I want to enjoy intercourse again.
Thank you!
H.

I’m not sure if this will help but if you take buckthorn oil supplements they really help with any dryness down there. I started taking for my dry eyes and it’s made a difference to all my dryness.
My daughter has endo, I've had endo many moons ago and am now working through menopause.
Are you on any HRT? It could be Vaginal Atrophy, that's one of the symptoms that I'm treating. Intercourse is so painful, even having a wee. its due to a decline/ lack of oestrogen. I take Estrogel and get on with it really well, I also use Vagifem as well without any problems. Unfortunately I still have a uterus which means I need progesterone, which I'm not doing well on, that's another story. My libido has taken a nosedive so will need to add testosterone into the mix soon.
I visited my sexual health clinic, as my GP wasn't much help, they diagnosed the atrophy. Unfortunately the NHS funding for the menopause clinic had been pulled, so I'm waiting to see the specialist who has set up her own practice. I've seen a gynaecologist via my GP, but they're not menopause specialists, and quite frankly it's a very emotional time for me and a ten minute appointment isn't long enough.
I'd definitely pop and see someone for a diagnosis, don't suffer in silence it's so painful. Good luck xx
