Low Zinc
My
zinc
is low. I don't absorb it through my stomach. MY GP has offered NOTHING. Says I'm her only patient with this problem.
Zinc
patches are available online. WHY DOESN'T NHS OFFER THESE! My fury cannot be measured.

Iron plus zinc better for iron deficiency anemia
reading about
zinc
I came across the following article. I mean it focuses on chronic kidney desease but I found this gem of info stating that
zinc
combined with iron is better than iron alone. Now I'm not iron deficient. But I thought this might be interesting for those who are.

Zicam post kidney transplant
I was told a while back that
zinc
in a multivitamin was fine. But, most of the Zicam products now I’ve come across are homeopathic ingredients, not just
zinc
. Looking into for cold.

Been advised by a fellow runner to try a supplement of magnesium,
zinc
and calcium. The Onco has no objections. Are there reasons no too? Thank you.

Abstract from U of Maryland by Costello & Ferguson
The decrease in
zinc
is achieved by the downregulation of ZIP1
zinc
transporter, which prevents the uptake and accumulation of cytotoxic
zinc
levels. Thus, prostate cancer is a “ZIP1-deficient” malignancy.

Kidney Problems possibly due to zinc intake
Everyone keeps pushing
zinc
as a wonder drug. I kept ignoring it, but coming into winter I thought ‘maybe we should be on a
zinc
supplement temporarily as a defensive against colds and flus this winter.’ So I bought my husband and I a
zinc
supplement. I started using it Monday Dec 18.

I am taking all the usual supplements such as
Zinc
, Vit C, D3, B12, and a multivitamin. My prescribed meds are limited to HBP types and nothing very serious. Just wondering if anyone else is taking this as a supplement and in what amount. TIA for your responses.
