My Hypothyroid Journey
Started myself on a kelp supplement along with selenium and
zinc
. My PCP referred me to an endocrinologist. He commented that normally they don't check iodine levels. Don't know why since the thyroid needs iodine to make thyroid hormones. Anyway, I didn't go back to see him.

Supplements/Alternative medicines to take?
I'm wondering if there is anything else I can take with my dosage such as multivitamins, any singular vitamins, curcumin,
zinc
, selenium or alternatives like lemon balm, bugleweed etc. Does anyone have any advice on what they take so as to not interfere with my dosage? Thanks so much!

I supplement selenium, B complex, magnesium, Vit C, DIM,

I supplement with B12 spray and methylated B12 to around 3-4000 ug a day, also with methylfolate, D3 with K2, selenium, Solgar's Gentle Iron, B complex and Ester-C as well as
zinc
and magnesium citrate. *I did read that increasing D3 means you need to significantly up your B12 supplementation.

Went on Prednisone today
I've already been taking Vit D 4, 1800mg of calcium w/ magnesium &
zinc
. I've also been taking Folic Acid and Omega 3 Fish Oil. It's only been 4 hours since I started, but tomorrow I want to get a real head start! It's almost tomorrow for most of you and almost bedtime for me.

Hot Flashes!!!!!
I take supplements C, D3, B compounds,
Zinc
, Calcium, Magnesium oxide, Fish Oil. Other than the hot flashes I feel great, but they are really dragging me down. I haven't had a good nights sleep in months. My onc has suggested anti-depressants, but I'm really concerned about the side effects.
