Hello.I have just received my latest Medichecks results and I'd like some guidance before seeing my doctor next week. I'll post the new ones along with the results from my previous test last May for comparison. I am currently on 75 Levothyroxine.

I have recently moved to a new doctor's surgery so I don't know how knowledgeable and open minded they are going to be about thyroid issues and Hashimotos so I want to be prepared if you guys think I might need to increase my dosage . I took the blood test at least 24 hours after my medication with only water to drink.
Thanks in advance .

I take vit D drops so I could possibly reduce, I'll check with my naturopath. Ones of my Levo is Teva, can't remember the other as I don't have the box. I think I always get the same. I take Methyl Folgard which is folate and B12, I also take fish oils, turmeric, magnesium bisglycinate, glucosamine and sea buckthorn. If the doctor won't agree to an increase can I just slowly increase the dose myself ?
Many patients do NOT get on well with Teva brand of Levothyroxine.
Teva is lactose free, but contains mannitol as a filler instead of lactose, which seems to be possible cause of problems. Mannitol seems to upset many people, it changes gut biome
If a patient reports persistent symptoms when switching between different levothyroxine tablet formulations, consider consistently prescribing a specific product known to be well tolerated by the patient.
Physicians should: 1) alert patients that preparations may be switched at the pharmacy; 2) encourage patients to ask to remain on the same preparation at every pharmacy refill; and 3) make sure patients understand the need to have their TSH retested and the potential for dosing readjusted every time their LT4 preparation is switched (18).
If the doctor won't agree to an increase can I just slowly increase the dose myself ?
You would quickly run out of levothyroxine if you did that
GP should agree to increase dose as TSH is over 2
List your hypo symptoms
Request “trial” increase
And retest in 2-3 months
approx how much do you weigh in kilo
Even if we frequently start on only 50mcg, most people need to increase levothyroxine dose slowly upwards in 25mcg steps (retesting 6-8 weeks after each increase) until eventually on, or somewhere near full replacement dose (typically 1.6mcg levothyroxine per kilo of your weight per day)
Adults usually start with a dose between 50 micrograms and 100 micrograms taken once a day. This may be increased gradually over a few weeks to between 100 micrograms and 200 micrograms taken once a day.
Some people need a bit less than guidelines, some a bit more
If symptoms of hypothyroidism persist despite normalisation of TSH, the dose of levothyroxine can be titrated further to place the TSH in the lower part of the reference range or even slightly below (i.e., TSH: 0.1–2.0 mU/L), but avoiding TSH < 0.1 mU/L. Use of alternate day dosing of different levothyroxine strengths may be needed to achieve this (e.g., 100 mcg for 4 days; 125 mcg for 3 days weekly).
Sorry for the delay in replying, had to get my next batch of Levo from the pharmacist. Because a brand wasn't specified, this time I received 50mcg Hillcross ( Accord ) and 25mcg Mercury pharma. I have just started a dairy free trial to see if it helps my chronic bloating and constipation. Both my Levo have lactose and I couldn't change them but will ask my doctor to prescribe ones without lactose if it's absolutely necessary to change them. I can't imagine such a tiny amount will make a difference but I'm certainly no expert !!I weigh 70kg so by those rules I should be on closer to 112mcg so hopefully the doctor will allow a gradual increase.
I wonder whether being on a low dose is partially to blame for my immense bloating, distention and constipation ??
I have been 100% gluten free for a couple of years now.
I am due to see my doctor on Tuesday to try and rule out ovarian cancer as a cause of the bloating etc so can ask about lactose free Levo then. Also having a CT colonograph next month to see what's found. Perhaps looking at all these routes some of my symptoms might be helped. Thanks very much for all your advise 🙏
