Thyroglobulin

I recently took a blood test, suggested by a acupuncturist, and it has come back as being positive for high levels of Thyroglobulin antibodies.

Does anyone know what causes thyroglobulin antibodies to increase after a thyroidectomy? Mine have been fluctuating since my TT 5 years ago. They have just increased from 743 ku/l to 930 ku/l.

My most recent blood test shows normal thyroglobulin but raised thyroglobulin antibodies at 40. My latest is TSH 0.7 and T4 in normal range. What I want to know is if the thyroglobulin abs are raised is a sign of cancer recurrence even if the thyroglobulin is normal?

can anyone enlighten me on thyroid and thyroglobulin results mean please..

TSH receptor antibodies 0.3 Thyroid peroxidase antibodies >600 Anti - thyroglobulin antibodies 929 TSH 0.27 and FT4 21.1 I take 200 micrograms of levothyroxine daily.

Interestingly, my Thyroglobulin antibodies are slightly down from 362 in 2022 to 287 in 2024. Not sure if this means anything. I am on 75 T4 and 20 T3 at the moment. I have had colon cancer (surgery and chemotherapy ) in the last year - so no idea if this is had an impact on my results.

TSH 2. 26 ( 0.27 - 4.2) Ft4 18. 6 (12 - 22) Ft3 3. 9 (3.1 - 6.8) Thyroglobulin Ab's 16. 9 (0 - 115)

23 same ranges Anti TPO 43 Thyroglobulin 28.5 TPO almost the same, (indicating Hashis) thyroglobulin gone up a lot (more than doubled 🤔) but still within normal range.

I tested for thyroid markers recently.I was already diagnosed last summer with hypothyroidism and am medicated with Levothyroxine, so the values of TSH T4 are now in the control range with T3 low borderline. However, anti Tg came positive at 570IU/ml which I understands suggests autoimmune underlying

I can see that a thyroid panel is : TSH , FT4 , FT3, Thyroglobulin antibodies , Thyroid peroxidase antibodies . Can this whole test be ran by my NHS GP ?

His thyroid results are good but in January his thyroglobulin antibodies crept up.

I got bloods done privately which show I have elevated anti thyroglobulin antibody's.

Can anyone tell me what a high amount of this protein means - range listed 40 - mine is 1621 !

My pcp told me i make too many thyroid hormones with only TSH test of 0.35 Went to another PCP and here are the lab results: glucose:134, TRAB:<1.00, thyroglobulin antibodies: <1, T4f:1.0, T3F: 3.5 Same tsh Thank goodness for your support because I don’t know what to do I’m fatigued don’t sleep

My result was : 0.84 IU/mL The Range: 0 - 5 IU/mL But my GP didn’t check thyroglobulin antibody levels surely if I had any autoimmune thyroid problems wouldn’t the Thyroid peroxidase pick it up ?
