This community gave me so much support about a month ago, when I posted about untreated Hypothyroid in pregnancy. Unfortunately I miscarried a week later, and I won't have any way of knowing if my thyroid was really the cause.
I've taken some time to recover, but wanted to come back here and say thank you for all the advice. It meant a lot to me that I found somewhere to get info when the drs weren't listening to me. I rescheduled my appointment with a private endocrinologist for next week, fingers crossed something good comes out of it. I'll include my most recent results below if they are of interest to anyone, but really just wanted to follow up by telling you how grateful I am.
I did a Medichecks blood test at the end of August and repeated Thyroid again end of September because my resting heart rate was lower than average again (50-57bpm). My TSH and T4 seem to be going up and down and I have no idea why, and my antibodies seem fine.
My iron is also very confusing, because Transferrin was too low but Ferritin at the top end. It was at least reassuring after reading the info about low ferritin and miscarriage.
I can't understand why the treatment threshold is TSH >10, if my T4 is low now I can't imagine how low it would be if my TSH doubled. I'm tired all the time, my heart rate goes off the charts when I exercise, my cholesterol is stubbornly high how high or low fat I eat, and I've struggled to keep my weight down for years; not to mention period problems or losing my pregnancy.
