New blood test results, is this possible?
Hello, As you might remember from my other posts I had a B12 result from the 15th of November that was 155. By the time I got to the doctor and because of problems to get my shots etc I started on B12 oral spray on the 9th of december. On the 14th I went to have more bloods because I wanted them to check

What else causes heaviness on chest?
I saw a gp in December with heaviness on chest. She told me to go A and E. went there and ecg was normal and troponin and FBC fine so discharged. However, I still have the heaviness on the chest as bad as ever. Also other symptoms. What else can be causing it and can I rule out heart problems with an

Day 4 - Should I remove this part of the dressing?
Today I have removed the dressing as it was starting to feel a bit twitchy. I bathed in Epsom salts and removed the outer dressing and the blue gauze underneath it with no problems. However I’m left with a small bit of dressing tight around the ring (pic included). I’m not sure if I should remove

What are the most essential but minimal vits and minerals needed for optimal thyroid function if you are hypo?
I really need to reduce my supplements for several reasons. For one, I am feeling increasingly nauseous and unsettled in my system after I take the myriad level of supplements I'm currently taking. I know it's the supplements, because when I don't take them, I don't feel like this. I always have them

Down the metabolomics rabbit hole with zest
Since getting diagnosed with Chagas(kissing bugs love me in the Amazon), I have been intrigued by Limonene, as well as several other terpenoid compounds that apparently are pretty good for Chagas. Serendipitously I found there is some research to suggest Limonene is a good candidate agent for PCa,

Please help interpret my blood test results
Hi, I'm new here. Please help me interpret my blood test results. What I show is all that was tested for thyroid each time, so direct month to month analysis is not always possible. I take 60 mg of Armour Thyroid every morning. All these blood draws were done after taking it in the morning as I didn't

Ferritin Facts please!
Hi all, I wondered if anyone could please point me in the right direction. After a blood test showing my ferritin level to be 74 whilst on 200mg prescription ferrous sulphate daily a different GP has advised I no longer need to take this (whilst continuing to prescribe B12 injections and folate). I remember

Hypophosphatasia
Recently had a number of blood tests. One test which has been upper end of low for about 4 years is alkaline phosphatase. Normal range, 46-116 U/L. My results were 2016: 39; 2017: 29; 2018: 32; 2019: 40. I've never had any of the tooth or bone abnormalities generally associated with hypophosphatasia,

Confused and low
Hi there, So after my tsh of 0.01, then approx 18 4 weeks later and 7.1 (0.34-5.6) 2 weeks after that. Dr has told me it is transient thyroiditis. I've been unwell several months/years so burst into tears at this point and explained I was too tired to go to work 4 days in the last 2 weeks having to

Any advice to get through Christmas?
So sorry everyone for such a late and long post. I am just looking on some advice on how to get through the festive season with regards to diet? I had a failed ICSI round back in July. I cannot believe how quickly the time has passed since, however the heartache still feels like yesterday. I had low

Thankful for you...
I wanted to take a few minutes to share my story. So many people here have been so generous sharing what has helped them and answering questions for me. For that, I am truly grateful. My story – my husband was first diagnosis in August, 2018. Age 55. Started with a tremor in his hand/arm. This

Not sure I should even be posting in this group now ☹️🙄
Well I have not run since October 16th now. First there was the nasty virus and chest infection that would not clear - over 7 weeks!!! And then the niggly hip pain that has been on and off since the summer but has got steadily worse not better. I’d had exercises to do - no better, painkillers-no help

Vitamins /Supplements & PMR
Sorry this is verbose... My head is spinning reading the research and contradictory findings it’s enough to drive one mad. However below is what I take now to help offset bone damage. From my past experience with Vitamin C & E I believe overall it to be beneficial as it’s the only reason I can think

Best bone supplements
I never know which supplements to take, or which are good. Can anyone recommend? Does anyone take this one? I have osteopenia age 45 through having my ovaries removed post cancer, and am very keen to stop any further bone loss. This forum is amazing, thanks so much for all the posts and advice. :) Rundown

New member, question about iron and rls
Hello, hope someone can help me, I've been given ferrous sulfate tablets 200mg three times a day as I have rls symptoms and a ferritin level of 27. I was just wondering how long it takes on these tablets for ferritin levels to show any improvement and to get to the recommended level needed to improve
