Hi everyone. Doctors today!
I have a review of my results today. I went in complaining of depression and no energy and wanted to check if deficient in anything first before I considered anti depressents. I am 48 and went through the menopause at 44. I have been on thyroid medication since 2013 now 75mcg. Anyone help with these

Results on NDT
Hi everyone. I have been on NDT now for a littleover a year. I have been OK at 2.5 grains, but recently started feeling very tired. It could be stress (a lot on my shoulders) but I thought I'd better rule out undermedication. I have no hyper symptoms at all. I also supplement vit d, omega 3, b12, iron

hypo; stopped levo, kept T3; advice?
Dear Wise Community, First, thanks for all your good posts and help here. I'm new here but have been lurking a bit. Long story first, then the question: I was Dx hyper in 2002; methimazole for 6 months solved it. No problems til 2012 (or, no diagnosed problems), when I went badly hypo and was put on

Decreased zinc in the development and progression of malignancy
New paper below [1]. These guys seem upset: "Efficacious chemotherapy does not exist for treatment or prevention of prostate ... carcinomas ... Zinc treatment offers a potential solution; but its support has been deterred by adverse bias." The Franklin & Costello partnership goes back at least 40 years

Do I need selenium if I'm taking NDT?
Hi all, I have in the last 2 months moved over to NDT, I'm now on 3 grains a day split morning and afternoon. I am also taking feratin, b12, vit C, zinc, magnesium and progesterone. It's a nightmare to time all of this properly and I can wait to be able to drop some of the vitamins once I get my levels

Newbie Ckd 3a this week
I've recently been told I have ckd 3a, with Gfr 50. I'm 57. No reason for this, blood pressure is 129/72. I exercise every day by walking and dance once a week. Haven't been a great drinker of water though. I'm starting to be really careful about what I eat and staying off the alcohol. At the moment

Hi I am still suffering with stomach acid problems related to prescription NSAID use (without being given a stomach protector) post surgery 2 years ago. I have been managing with DGL liquorice supplements / Apple cider vinegar / sauerkraut / but it is gathering momentum again and making eating tricky

Test Results!
I finally got my blood results back, following a large increase in my Liothyronine dose. Quite a few levels are low in range, and any information regarding increasing these low levels would be very much appreciated. Others I have no idea about where the levels are best to be. I would like any increase
