New blood test results received, and ready to switch from Levo to NDT.
Hi, I added my first post on this website a few weeks ago (https://healthunlocked.com/thyroiduk/posts/139030356). I've been busy since - I arranged a private blood test, ordered Thiroyd NDT from Thailand, and bought a bunch of supplements. Now I'm ready to switch from Levo to NDT and wanted to ask

This is JEG 325 again. Just so you know, my magnesium was also found to be slightly low. My doctor has me on Vit. D, Magnesium Citrate & Time released potassium. What I found out personally is that high sodium intake, low potassium intake & not enough water are more things that aggravate my depression

Zinc Inhibits AR Expression.....Update On Nalakrats Exposes Himself
The question is how much to take. I am taking 30mg because I read somewhere that to much zinc can suppress immune function. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/30297600 Nalakrats recently posted a pic of himself. What Nal forgot to mention is the pic is over 10 years old and before he started taking

Vitamin D cofactors
Hi everyone. I'd appreciate any comments on whether it is necessary when using a vitamin D supplement to take supplements magnesium, vitamin K, zinc, boron and vitamin A if I already have a good diet including spinach, carrots, nuts, seeds eggs etc? For example a recent blood test showed magnesium level

Having a hard time with Jock Itch?
So I've had Jock itch for about a month or more. I've tried powders, creams, oils, ointment, rubbing alcohol, zinc oxide, Lotrimin AF/Ultra, etc... nothing helped. I even tried bleach baths which seems to work ok, but the actual rash never really improved, not to mention the harshness of bleach on you

I’ve lost my actual readings but tsh was less that 0.5, t4 was 20ish (9-21) and free t3 was around 4ish (range 2.6-6.2). I was asked to reduce thyroxine by 25 at this point. I was feeling a little fatigued after exercise but was managing, and dieting was working with steady loss of 1lb a week. I’m

W7 R1 - too slow...
Hello 👋 , I posted a couple of days ago after W6 R3, asking if I was going too fast if I felt like I couldn’t hold the conversation while running. So for W7 R1 I decided to go slower - and I don’t think it was a good decision for me personally. I follow my run with MapMyWalk (I like looking at the map

new here - does any of this sound like PA?
hi there, hoping someone may be able to help. I have underactive thyroid so first step whenever I am feeling fatigued is to get that tested - I know by now and gradually educating the GPs in my practice to check more than just TSH and T4, the thyroid levels are now all good. however recently been feeling

Low ferritin (20ng/ml), hypothyroid and 34 weeks pregnant. How do I increase my levels?
Hi all, I am 34.5 weeks pregnant and mostly doing really well. I've been under a lovely endocrinologist throughout my pregnancy who has kept a close eye on my T4 and T3 levels, as well as the essential vitamins and a host of other things. All my recent blood results have come back good. My Vitamin D,

Anyone in the US with Hypothyroid Issues?
I was diagnosed about a year ago. I’m still trying to get to 100% but I try to remember that it took me years to get to my diagnosis so I can’t expect my recovery to be super quick. I don’t know the numbers/ratios for UK forums here so I’m hoping there’s some US members who are able to chat with me

Questions regarding the Adrenal Saliva Test
I have ordered the Genova Adrenal Saliva test and would like to do it this week, but I have been taking a zinc supplement and also drank liquorice tea a couple of times in the past week. Does both of these affect the Adrenal Saliva test? I wasn't sure whether to wait a week before I take it. Thanks

Effects of contraceptive pill on thyroid beyond interaction between oestrogen & levothyroxine
Knowing the interaction between oestrogen and levothyroxine, I recently switched from the combined pill to the mini or progestogen only pill. I had done a bit of scouting around ahead of the switch. Lots of searching this forum and the internet in general to see if I could find any interactions. Nothing

Medication Alernative
My son is not diagnosed...but had some traits. I don’t believe in going straight to medication and his traits not severe. Some inattentive, fidgeting and general disobedience. Also tantrums at home. Did some research and started him on On Task Naturally. Gummies with zinc, magnesium, vitamin B6 and C
