Test results not very illumunating
I got my blood test rsluts back from the Drs today, but the test has only given the TSH which is not at all helpful ( last time I asked for results they gave me the cortisol, T4 and serum free levels at least...). Pfft. But amongst all the tests it also said that my Serum Alkaline Phosphate level was

Blood tests
Despite the explanation, I am still confused, maybe because the person who read my test results did not know I have a diagnosis and am on levo? I do feel quite upset as was expecting a poor T3 result as feel dreadful, tiredness bordering on exhaustion, dry skin, puffyness, poor hair, eyebrow loss etc

Weight gain-need help :-(
I have had a massive wake-up call today and am really feeling down and at the end of my tether :-( I desperately need to lose weight but have read so much conflicting stuff: don't reduce calories too much, don't exercise too much etc so... I am stumped! Last month's Slimming World magazine featured

Hello again. Don't know where I'd be without this forum! Hypothyroid / Hashimotos?!
I have recently been diagnosed with auto immune problem Hypothyroid. I had a number of symptoms but facial dry skin flares were unusual to me and bothered me along with some menstrual changes. GP told me (I'm 46) it was probably that time in life...! I asked for bloods and my TSH levels were 5/6.

daughter still getting reflux
my daughter is on the Paleo AI diet and all was going well for some time and was taking HC Peptin which worked well to ease her acid reflux. She only stopped taking Peptin because she was burping so much which mean her stomach acids were working OK. However, it's all started off again. She is

IF YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT.. BEFORE PD, I WAS A CHEESE BURGER.
from my blog https://diaryofamadparkie.wordpress.com/ It has been said “You are what you eat” and it may be true. New research in mice suggests. upon aging, a high-fat diet significantly accelerated the onset of neurological symptoms in mice that were genetically predisposed to develop Parkinson’s

It Has Me All Befuddled...Going Shopping I Mean...
Went to Tesco's today...didn't want to bother actually 'cos I was tired and cross and when I was looking at the bananas they were enormous and I don't like huge bananas and they were much more expensive than our local supermarket.
