Hi everyone, recently diagnosed with Hashimotos after discovering my thyroid is underactive a few months ago, am now on 75mcg Levothryoxine from GP. For the last 12 months I've been getting a sore throat, more like a lump in throat feeling, but quite low down. I now am putting 2 and 2 together - I'm

Can you point me in the right direction/reassure me???
Morning folks! Can anybody help please? I'm considering going back to GP to get referral for tubal surgery (they're blocked). I've had some changes in my cycle and bleeding has been different and prolonged for around six months (I have endo. Diagnosed 2010). So, I feel certain that I surely need to

Update
Hello all, I just wanted to let you all know how I am doing. As some of you will know I started taking vitamin C, D and Zinc a few weeks ago. I also have started taking Manuka honey, well I have now gone eight days without any antibiotics. I know it is early days, but feel much brighter and optimistic

immune boosters
Since the cause of Endometriosis is unknown, it is speculated that the underlying cause may be the flawed immune system. So, I just wanted to share with you a list of supplements I take to improve my immunity and keep the inflammation of Endometriosis as low as possible. My CRP (inflammation marker)

Does zinc make periods last longer?
My bacon and egg toastie got stone cold while I typed out a post, and it didn't post and vanished!!! My periods are always regular and fairly moderate. In my early twenties they went from lasting 7 days to 3 days which pleased me no end and have been the same since. I had a shoulder op in September

Multivitamins
Hi, I've looked into getting some supplements as my ferritin, B12, folate and Vitamin D are low and because I'm a fussy eater, have gone gluten-free and have trouble swallowing due to my neck swelling I suspect I could be deficient in other minerals and vitamins. My GP will not test for anything other

So where do I go from here?
Newest blood test shows: B12 over 2000 (I said that was because I'd just had 6 injections & you shouldn't test again that soon) Folate over 20 (which is a surprise as I stopped taking it ages ago as it made me feel funny) MCV 96 (range 83-101) MCH 31.9 (range 27-32) Zinc 9.1 (range 11-24) TSH 2.73 (

T3 and weight
Good morning, good people. I have recently added 25mg of T3 (tiromel) to my prescribed 100 mg of levo, and am feeling tons better. Unfortunately, the weight doesn't seem to be coming off as I would have hoped, (I have eight stone to lose) Has this happened to anyone else and what did you do about it

Stubbornly high TSH
Hello, I'm after a bit of advice. I started taking NDT about three months ago with an immediate improvement in symptoms and energy levels. I started low and worked up to now taking 1.5grain daily. I've always had a very high (>100) TSH, low T4 and regular T3. At my last blood tests my T4 has improved

Another blood test tomorrow
Not really sure why they are testing - it's a week since my last B12 injection (I had one a week for 6 weeks) I'm guessing there will be a fair amount of B12 knocking about They will also be testing for Vit D & hopefully Zinc as that was low But it seems a bit pointless as they have already decided

B12 Connections
Just thought I'd share some things that have happened in the past week. Went to visit some neighbours when I was growing up - parents generation - that I hadn't spoken to since May when I was in a right state before I started supplementing for myself as wasn't getting anywhere really with the usual
