I am 22 and have suffered with sweating, hair loss, weight gain, extreme tiredness, tinnitus and twitching eyes but dr says not hypothyroid
I have visited a kinesiologist who says I most definitely have a thyroid problem and she has treated me with zinc and iodine supplements saying that my body needed both. I was well for a good while and even trained and ran a marathron although it was tough I was determined but just lately my condition

Gastroscopy / colonoscopy on Saturday!
Thought I would blog today. I saw a GE (gastroenterologist) Consultant on 5 Feb. Didn't really feel that confident after the meeting. 20 minutes of talk, and then he dictated his letter to my GP for 10 minutes. Not had that experience before and over the last 3 years been going to the Nuffield Orthopaedic

On Armour 2 months was feeling good but not so much now
Hi hoping some one can give opinion or advice who has been down this route themselves. I have been taking Armour 1 and a half grains for 2 months now. Initially I saw a definite improvement. More energy, no brain fog and my vertigo and headaches subsided to a very liveable level. However, the past

Does anyone know anything about thiamine?
One of my long standing problems is that I am cold intolerant. It's not constant, there are some days when it is worse than others. I start to get very cold, and pretty soon after, my sense of wellbeing and ability to think rationally depart me. Feeling cold a lot of the time makes me tense, and when

Does Vitamin C as calcium ascorbate contains 'Calcium'?
I take high doses of Vitamin C (2000-3000mg) a day. I can't tolerate ascorbic acid well so I take something that contains Vitamin C as calcium, magnesium, potassium, zinc ascorbates. The bottle lists 'Calcium (as calcium ascorbate, citrate & carbonate) 105mg - the total intake I take is around 157mg

how to deal with a cold
from a handy website Adults average two to four colds a year, and the typical upper respiratory infection takes up to 10 days to get over. But that first sniffle, throat tickle, or cough doesn’t have to be all doom and gloom. ....there are other cold-fighting heroes out there, too. 1. Pop zinc

sea salt, more vitamins + 2 weeks levothyroxine before bed; condition much worse. Is this just my body adapting?
There seems to be some speculation that taking your meds before bed was more beneficial than in the morning. So, this is what i've been doing for the last two weeks. I don't recall the exact amount of time because my memory is virtually non existent in that respect. In this time period I've also

After blood tests my Dr thinks I may have SLE Lupus. Has anyone experienced poor memory and tripping up?
I seem to match up perfectly with many of the symptoms I've never really talked about previously, just learned to live with the constant ache in my groin, hip, my fingers swell and stick at times and I have pain at the base of my spine. Recently had nasty water infections, and found out my kidney is

Perhaps because it's so common and makes its sufferers so cranky, arthritis is one of those diseases that's especially prone to rumor and hearsay. Not only do unsubstantiated "cures" and therapies circulate endlessly on the Internet, but some people (including scientists who should know better!) continue

90 (plus) essential nutrients that we all need.
In Britain, we have beautiful, rich, soil varieties that contain all of the required life-giving nutrients that hold the magical 'pinch' of life's wealth and health. We only ever hear about a few of the minerals and vitamins that are required in our diet but I would like to share with you a little information

Should I get the flu jab?
I'm in a bit of a quandary. My workplace is offering the flu jab at the moment, and I'm not sure whether to go for it or not. I've only ever had it once before, when I was still a teenager, and ended up with a horrendous cold shortly afterwards (which I understand is fairly common). I don't generally

As I haven't been able to eat wheat, barley, oats and rye since developing coeliac disease I have been exploring other types of nutrition. This is not just to vary my diet but to try and give me a healthy boost and try and stay on the path of feeling well and reasonably satisfied and nourished. Some

Healthy Skin From The Inside-Out There’s an old saying that it’s what’s on the inside that counts, and that’s very true in relation to your health, including that of your skin.
