T3 & Adrenals
I have moved a small 5mcg of my 10mcg T3 dose to mid-late afternoon. How long a gap do I need to leave before or after taking so I can have my Zinc and Mag. Am assuming it's OK to have stuff like VitC and B12. Can't say I feel any better adding T3 so far although my reason for splitting my 10mcg solely

Confusing labwork. Central hypo?
Good morning, I am a 26 year old female, 5 feet and 160 lbs. I also have a congenital heart disease with severe mitral regurgitation. I've been overweight for most of my life- but have recently put on 20 lbs in 10 months. I've always eaten mindfully, avoiding sugar. I also have some of the classic hypo

Tetracycline / doxycycline / minocycline
This post is prompted by Ed Miller's: "Ten days of the antibiotic clendamycin lowered my PSA for 3 months." I remembered seeing some PCa-tetracycline studies. (No PCa hits for "Clindamycin".) The matrix metalloproteinase [MMP] family comprise enzymes that break down extracellular matrix proteins.

How long do I keep supplementing?
I posted this a few days ago and would really appreciate some advice. I'm finally feeling really well, thanks largely to the forum and wonder how long I should continue supplementing. I have been reading Dr Brewers book 'The Essential Guide to Vitamins, Minerals and Supplements' and it looks like I'd

Vitamin D deficiency
Hi all! Full blood tests at end of post but starting with my questions! I am hypothyroid taking 100mcg of levothyroxine. As this thread has become really long I'm going to start a second about my other vitamins etc (will add link!) So I had a recent blood test which shows that my vitamin D is still deficient

Calcium supplements - health warning
I've c&p the article below for those who don't want to subscribe (free) to New Scientist to read it: Calcium dementia link is reminder of the dangers of supplements An increased risk of dementia in some women taking calcium warns us that supplements marketed as a quick fix for health may not be benign

IHerb
Just wanted to mention that I've found IHerb in the US to be very efficient and inexpensive for supplements. You get $5 off your first order, then loyalty credit for subsequent purchases. Thorne Zinc Picolinate and Thorne Selenometionine cost me £14.30 plus £2 postage from them, compared to £46 on Amazon

Has anyone had success increasing their iron levels? I've been trying for about a year now without success. The levels have moved from "15" to "42" even after supplementing with 400 mg (I think it's mg and not mcg) of iron supplements prescribed by my surgery (200 split into two doses). I take 75 mcg

Newly diagnosed and confused
Since being diagnosed with hypothyroidism 6 weeks ago and reading around, I am really confused about which of my symptoms are linked and, if so, are they being treated. Blood test show I am menopausal. A transvaginal scan following heavy bleeding showed I have fibroids - no treatment given Blood test

Hypoglycemia? Thoughts- suggestions.
As a child I could go whole days without eating if I wanted to but around the age of 16, I started to *need* food regularly. And it has been the same ever since- I am 31 now. I've always just called it hypoglycemia but I haven't ever been diagnosed specifically as such. I have had my blood sugar checked

Private blood tests
I supplement D3, B12, K2, Magnesium, selenium (with a bit of zinc in), B Complex, folic acid, plus about once a week i'll take an iron tablet and vit C. If I have private tests done, how long do i need to stop supplementing for beforehand to get the right results.
