I am waiting on a diagnostic laparoscopy for endometriosis now, whilst also having a large cyst in my left ovary and a smaller one in my right. how on earth do you work with all this pain I am allergic to pretty much every painkiller and tramadol makes me so drowsy I wouldn’t be able to work whilst taking it. What do I do???

I found tramadol initially made me sleepy but after a while my body got used to it, so now I can operate & not feel away with the fairies! Ask your Dr. for something else, maybe codeine & paracetamol may help. I also used naproxen but that needs to be taken with lanzaprasol if using it long term. I also use heat pads & some people have found tens machine quiet helpful (don’t know if either are suitable for your job though?) Hopefully you find something that helps Soon, it’s trial and error though, good luck x
Hello thank you, I have been given soo many different painkillers but because I’m allergic to a lot my last option was Tramadol. I am going to invest in a tens machine and see if that helps. I am in the process of changing doctors at the moment but I am going to see what a different DR advises. Thank you hope you are well. X
hi. As already mentioned tramadol made me feel awful, could hardly get down the stairs but after two weeks I started to feel a bit better and within a month I was a fully functional human again for 3 out of 4 weeks! I also had cysts and they are very painful. The Endo diet also helped but we found I had bowel endometriosis so that could be why diet has such an impact. Xx
Have you tried mefenamic acid? I find that with co-codamol works well and then mebeverine for bloating. The mefenamic takes a day or so to build up and work but it’s very good x
Yeah I have had mefenamic acid was on it for over a month and for me it didn’t help. Unfortunately I’m allergic to co-codamol so I’m unable to take that. I’ve never heard of Mebeverine before x
