husband diagnosed with PSP
My husband had a bleed to the brain 5 years ago and fell causing a traumatic brain injury, over the years his mobility has got worse, his memory isn’t good and he can’t remember where the bedroom or toilet is. I put it all down to his brain injury, had a face to face appointment with his neurologist

Goodbye Sifrol
I have been only taking half of .125mg sifrol for the last 4 weeks so tonight plan not to take any…..finally!….I have found that codeine was helping less and less as I slowly reduced my sifrol dose( originally .250mg for 10 years.)60mg of codeine/paracetamol now only gives me 2-3 hours relief which

Monocular Vision Pain
Good evening, I lost sight in my right eye from a freak accident in January. I'm having constant eye pain in the good eye, I have seen many consultants that have examined the eye and unable to identify anything that could be causing the pain. I use eye drops daily, eye gel and many pain killers

Extra dose of Progynova. I'm really worried. Please help.
Hi. I'm on 4dp5dt today and I already messed my Progynova dose twice. I'm on 2x2mg Progynova a day (6am and 6pm) But right on the next day after transfer, after I took my morning dose, around two and half hours later (when I'm about to take other vitamins) I mistook another dose. It was extra 2 tablets

IBS Storm
I was diagnosed with IBS by my GP but at the time I was thinking my symptoms were mostly caused by virus or bacteria. I suspect taking supplements like multivitamins I definitely could negatively affect one’s gut; however the onset of my problems started with acute stress, anxiety and sudden consumption

best foods to eat after ibs d flare
I’ve suffered from ibs for years and have been well controlled. Have never needed to do FODMAP as yet as know triggers. Anyway I’ve had the worst flare ever in last 5 days and no improvement. Constant diarrhoea. Everything just going straight through. Imodium helps but I need to start trying to eat

When to reduce maintenance dose?
Hi everyone, After 3 years of on and off constipation, and last year having a really stubborn withholding episode, and one almighty disimpaction, we have now got a nearly 5 year old daughter who is on 3 sachets of cosmocol a day, and pooing regularly. This is such a huge achievement as this time last

Constipation
Hi helpful community. I am on 40 mg or prednisone for CGA, tapering down to 35 in 2 days for 2 weeks. I am suffering from constipation. Is it due to the prednisone or the Calcium supplements (600 mg x 2 per day)? I take Miralax (Restorolax) every couple of days. then I take mineral oil for couple

Horizant
After pregabalin and gabapentin both made me nervous (I successfully tolerated the pregabalin for years, with daytime sedation however). Codeine also seems to be waking me up instead of sedating me. Doctor is suggesting trying Horizant. I know it is for people who experience symptoms all day, but

bed wetting has stopped but now child is highly emotional?
hi, just wondering if anyone here that’s had a child that wets the bed had any emotional problems when they stopped? I certainly didn’t expect that stopping bed wetting would cause us any problems 🤦🏼♀️. So this last wee my 9 year old girl has been dry at night. Great news… but now she’s so emotional

Turned down by the RHN
I recently emailed the admissions office at the Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability in Wandsworth, London to see if I met their criteria for referral as, over four years after my ABI, I have received no rehabilitation. The RHN is not an NHS hospital so it has the freedom to pick and choose who it treats

waking up from induced coma
I posted a few days ago about my sister being in ICU in an induced coma. This is day 7 now and they have turned down the sedation after being able to control her seizures. I have read that it’s a slow process. Can people give me example of how it went for you. I know everyone is different but it helps

diabetic macular oedema or not!
I went for my review at the eye clinic today and the doctor there said she couldn’t understand why my right eye was not improving but my right eye had. She also said that it was strange as my blood sugars were very well controlled. She went off to speak to a consultant and the result of that was I am

Who could you ask about if your entitled to any benifits.
I have struggled with my breathing for the last few years and was wondering if there was any help financially. I took early retirement last year couldn't cope anymore with my job stairlift engineer. I have saved some money to help before I can claim my work pension, so at the moment I have no income.

Woo hoo I've finally smashed it!
Set off at 7am, still 18C, can you believe it? I told myself this was just another run and if it was too warm to go the distance, well the graduation run would still be there for another day. A few minutes in and I've hit my happy pace. My music was calming overlaid by beautiful birdsong. Then the 15

bad fall 🙁
I fell last week and badly sprained my ankle. After a week, it’s still quite swollen and bruised. I’ve been doing really well with my runs, maintaining three times a week and regularly getting to 4-5k. I’m so disappointed that I fell and really worried about how long it will be before I can run in it
