RA and gluten free
I’m finding non-evidenced research online about gluten-free diets being useful for lowering inflammation in RA. Does anyone on here follow a gluten-free diet and see a marked benefit?

Dr. John Madany
I'm putting this up because the good doctor is so enthusiastic and joyful at just how LCHF can change lives. Truly inspirational. Maddeningly, and as usual, putting a link up here is problematic or downright impossible. Go to the tube and enter 'Brendan Reid and Dr. John Madany'.

Should I have the vertical sleeve bariatric surgery?
Considering Gastric sleeve surgery and I have Hashimoto's disease. Frankly I’m scared. I have read so many of your posts and it sounds like you all would have never done the surgery. I am 56 and weigh 293. Diagnosed with hypoThyroidism when I was 12. I hurt all the time and no diet seems to work. I’m

Just venting really. It seems I'm unable to get hold of the Better You D3 and K2 spray since it was mentioned on the news and various daytime TV shows that it helps immunity. Seems Better You spray is the new toilet roll and pasta. Can't get it anywhere online as people have been panic buying it, no

New Start
Another
weight
loss
diet
has started, every year I say this will be the year I am finally going to be normal (what ever normal is). Last year I had many starts and many stops. Having a busy life with constant work pressures I seek comfort in food, it's a way of destroying myself.

I was in contact with my nephew the other day and he mentioned he'd been on a 16 hour dry fast. I was puzzled, especially the 'dry' bit until the penny dropped. He's a practising Muslim. The rules are, nothing to eat or drink from sunrise to sunset - for 30 days. You can eat a little just before the

Loving the scale today.
I have lost 5 lbs since I got back on LCHF. I am so pleased. Diet doctor has been helpful along with the books my mom loaned me. Now to try and get my hubby onboard with the lifestyle change. 😏

Spider veins on face
Does anyone know how to help broken capillaries (spider veins) on the face? I’ve seen light therapy pens for at home treatment but I don’t want to buy something if it won’t work.

I’m a idiot!!!!
Morning Well it official, I’m an idiot and decided to sabotage my LCHF eating plan. It started with a few bottles of cherry Pepsi max (I stopped drinking this maybe 8 months ago) then washed down with bags of crisps, and this is a nightly occurrence, (only at night) in fact this has been going on for

Loving low carb
I don’t feel hungry any more and I am so satisfied. This has been easier than the first time I tried it. I guess bc I have more knowledge this time. I don’t know. Thanks for all the support here.

loss
, or a 12 week very low calorie

Thanks Mom
My mom had several low carb books she has graciously loaned me. She has been very supportive of my weightloss efforts. I’m so excited to continue this journey.

This seems too much of a coincidence but I had just posted what you read below to a friend of mine (who has doctors and surgeons in his family - all obese). When I went to check my inbox. It was in response to a video he sent me, link below. This was my response: Essentially this has been my take James

Thoughts from the South Island
YOUR HEALTH New Zealand has recorded 1409 cases of Covid-19 and that number is increasing by 15 per day i.e. ~1% daily increase in the number of cases. Deaths total 11 of whom nearly all have been 70+ with UHI (underlying health issues). There are 3 people in ICU. For the last 2 days Random Testing

I finally got serious with LCHF and broke my plateau. My weight was stuck at 190-192. Today I’m 188 yay!!! All thanks to low carb. I have a ways to go. Let’s hope I can keep it up.

Aim -10kg
My bmi calculator says I should be below 13.5st/86kg/189.5lb My main focus is on
diet
and believe 80% of the
weight
loss
will come from eating sensibly, eat smaller amounts. Cut processed foods , eat fresh foods. Drink water. Eat about 500 calories per day less than you burn.
