D3 and K2

Just venting really. It seems I'm unable to get hold of the Better You D3 and K2 spray since it was mentioned on the news and various daytime TV shows that it helps immunity.

Seems Better You spray is the new toilet roll and pasta. Can't get it anywhere online as people have been panic buying it, no doubt in large amounts in some cases. Not ideal for those of us with poor absorption who can't take tabets instead.

We live in the Hebrides and have a few small Co op stores covering an island the size of Greater Manchester which are both poorly stocked and expensive (over the years Co op have maintained a stranglehold and have bought up land to prevent competitors building alternatives - so much for being 'ethical'). All other supermarkets are 130 miles away, cross country (no motorways up here). We usually use the Tesco click and collect service but it's impossible now to book a slot.

Really starting to feel the effects of the lockdown now. I can cope with homeschooling and luckily we have plenty of outdoor space, but when it messes with my supplements and gluten free diet I get very p*ssed off!

Sorry.

Is it OK to have D3 without K2?

Just take seperately. Make sure it's k2 mk7. You can get the spray from better you, expensive, betteryou.com/vitamin-k2-or... or tablets elswhere.

in reply tofibrolinda

Wow, that is expensive. I'll have a look around. I'm trying not to think about the fact that Thai NDT seems to be unavailable too. Not good!

You can buy separately

amazon.co.uk/Vitamin-MK-7-N...

Better you 3000iu with vitamin K2 mk7 added is only 30 days supply (3 x 1000iu sprays per day)

..whereas just plain vitamin D 3000iu is 3000iu per single spray and lasts 100 days

I switched last year to these from thyroid s and they work great for me. With the problems now many people seem to be trying them and now out of stock again! Worrying times in so many ways😕

Try dolphin fitness. I have used them for years for various products i use. They definitely had betteryou vit d with K2 the other day because i ordered mine. They also do a pack with six in at a really good price.

in reply toRead58

Dolphin Fitness have run out but you can reserve- the 6 pack is a good price thanks for head’s up.

I’ve ordered the D only spray (I’m on my last bottle) and will get K2 separately as SlowDragon suggested.

I’m glad I read this thread- having been in the Better You combined spray for weeks- only just realised I’d been having only one spray and 2 sprays on alternate days so been under dosing! 😩 I must read the small print!!

I’d previously had reading of only 15 Vit D on last bloods and used spray following high load doses for 7 weeks from private doc.

Let’s hope being in sun kept me topped up 🤣😂 3 sprays today

Unless there's been an update in the last week, Doves Farm were out of stock nationwide of gluten free flour, but some Co-ops still have old stock (you can find the nearest one that has it - mine would have been a 50 mile round trip though). Glebe Farm are still doing theirs albeit in bulk. Also you can get coconut, chickpea, corn and rice flours pretty easily still.

I suspect a lot of the gluten free flour was bought up by people who don't need it, nor know how to use it. It'd make rubbish play dough for kids as it's far less elastic minus the gluten.

My husband managed to buy a bag of Doves Farm gluten free SR flour last week. There had been none anywhere for ages.

I substituted plain gf flour with coconut flour and ground almonds in a plum / apple crumble. It turned out really interesting and tasty. The coconut is far more absorbant so you don't need as much of it and it may be healthier, because it's naturally sweet, so no need to add much sugar.

I used to get the betteryou spray with D3 and K2 but switched to buying separately. You can get a 365 day pack of K2 that works out about 6p per day from here:

I’ve switched back too, I didn’t feel the BetterYou D/K2 spray lasted very long so I too have gone back to capsules.

From where I am in a large city you have way more pluses than minuses. Social distancing must be easy! Is the virus in the Hebrides?

And you could be open to shop competition and have home bargains vs better buys or something g as your choices!

Just trying to show some positives hope you don’t mind !

Oh you poor thing - it is so annoying I had the same being unable to get my lactose free products - just checked the Better You site and it is saying quantity limited to 3 per customer so I am assuming that it is in stock. Hurry get on their quick and get an order placed.

Can you order from Amazon or Oceans Alive website. Amazon usually has Natures Answer vit D3 drops - 1 drop contains 2000iu. I think far better than a spray. Just drop in the mouth. Lasts for ages (not unknown for mine to last 12 months ) Varies in price depending on seller, anything from £12 - 18. I also take Vitabay Vit K2 drops (from Amazon)

I also know that Good Health Naturally - Robert Redfern's site sell D3/K2 spray - don't know where they deliver to. Hope you get sorted

So sorry to hear this.

Do you have anybody who could buy it for you either on the internet or physically and post it to you?

I will be passing a Holland & Barret next week... I could do it for you?

PM me if I could be of help.

I am sorry things are getting to you and you are finding it difficult, and being so isolated it must be awful. I have heard that people who book online shopping are finding it difficult. My friend's daughter in law was told three weeks! I think now we are all feeling the strain. Missing my husband more, and longing to see our daughter and son in law. But have now got my needles and B12 injections and have been practising on an orange. All went well, so hope I can actually pluck up the courage to stick the needle in my leg. Take care and stay safe. We are all here for each other. xxxbriarhill cat. Meow Meow.
