Fibroscan today
Hi all I had my 4th fibroscan today My results were kpa 11.8 or 10.5 CAP 317 The CAP score has gone down since last year, so that’s some good news I’ve been dieting really well however this week with no sugar at all apart from what occurs naturally in some meals… I’ve not lost an ounce, little disheartening

Written by Jason S. Ewoldt, M.S., RDN, LD. Jason is a registered dietitian for the Division of Endocrinology and the Mayo Clinic Healthy Living Program. When following a plant-based dietary pattern, the focus is primarily on plants and plant foods. This should include minimally processed whole foods

Trying to Understanding Light Therapies
Blue light (wavelength 405nm-420nm) provide a very superficial penetration even with a high-intensity narrowband light source. It is primarily absorbed by the epidermis of the skin. Once it is absorbed, blue light targets P. acnes by stimulating porphyrins which then produce intracellular singlet oxygen

People of HU: Meet Marina
I was reluctant to mention low carb in the beginning, but they have ALL been positive about my
weight
loss
without any negative attitude toward my low-carb
diet
. My knees are feeling the benefit of having less weight to carry around, and my arrhythmias are easier to manage with the exercise.

My post is lost?
I wrote a post and thought I'd sent in but can't find it now. So a repost: I saw Dr Bortan today for a Botox treatment of my tremoring left arm. She asked how the Botox is helping. I said there's no wrinkles on my left arm. Then I mentioned I can't do a pull-up because my grip is weak. She suggested

Diet Supplements
Once again unable to sleep. Thinking about my diet. I’m having some stomach and digestive investigations. My stomach is now so distended and solid with it. It looks like I have someone else’s abdomen and my own skinny arms and legs. It’s hurting my back. I am determined to boost my health this year by

Who's right?
I was explaining to my wife about Vielight, the theory that FIR LEDS stimulate the striatal cells to function better. She countered that if light therapy was so good why isn't michael j fox et al doing it? I hate to sound paranoid but it seems that groups like Fox's Foundation have an interest

Looking for a good diet for weight loss for cirrhosis possibly using my vitamix using fresh fruits and vegetables and soups
Hi everyone, I am on a quest to help my son lose weight for his cirrhosis. He recently had to go on a medication to help control ammonia levels. So they took him off his diuretics. This has caused a significant weight gain for him in a short period of time. His weight is up to 317 right now and we are

Hypo, anaemic or both?
I would love some advice from this group since I trust this more than the doctors I've seen! Snowy Run - and a question about light headedness
Was due to do my usual 30-35 min consolidation run yesterday but the gremlins got the better of me and I ended up settling for my YWA session as my daily exercise instead. I decided that I'd go out tomorrow (today) for my run. There was more faffage this morning then a strange thing happened, I noticed

Seven Natural Ways To Get Melatonin Without Side Effects That People Have Reported And Also Get Better Sleep
In this initial post I only mention two of the seven ways to increase melatonin without supplementing. To see the other five ways, you will have to scroll down into the thread and look at my replies in the lower part of this thread to see the other ways as I added them to the thread as I found them.
