ANyone taking Prolia for osteoporosis?
I have Lupus, Hyperparathyroidisn, Low
Vitamin
D
and low body mass that all contribute to the problem. Unfortunately, it has continues to get worse. I have been hesitant to take Prolia as it will be in the body for 6 months and if I react, that is concerning. I had trouble with Forteo.

Endometriosis changed my understanding
I also take one glass of water with omega 3 suplaments before food and
vitamin
D
after I eat breakfast. I don't eat pork or beef. I had pains after i ate smoaked fish and i stopped it. Smoaked fish is not good for me and canned fish too only fresh fish is good.

Ferritin Levels/Hair Loss/Thyroid
So I was told to have a ferritin test and take
vitamin
D
, I also take B12. Thinking that it would be low hence the hair loss, it is in actual fact completely the opposite, but I can't get the doctor to tell me what this might mean, I was just told, repeat the test in 6 weeks.

Take it with a grain of salt (and pepper), vitamin D
https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jamanetworkopen/fullarticle/2773074 I would still stay away from any supplement that gives me more than 100% of any substance....even if high doses have been used in most of the studies mentioned in that paper

Vitamin D Levels
I just wanted to thank all those people who recommended using the NHS facility for checking
vitamin
D
. https://www.vitamindtest.org.uk - costs £31 - DIY kit and just pop into the post! I got mine done last week and my results are just in and I am pleased that all looks okay.

Vitamin D - GP said no longer needed
My 94 year old mother, who never goes out or sees the sun has been told by her GP in an email that "in accordance with local guidelines she no longer needs
vitamin
D
and her prescription is being cancelled" and apparently once you have had a course of vit
D
you should not need it again!

Still having symptoms of hypothyroidism despite medication - any advice?
I was low in ferritin,
vitamin
D
, and B12, but I’ve treated all of these and they’re optimal now (or almost optimal), thanks to everyone's advice last time. I’m also on the mini pill Cerelle but I’m too scared to come off of it right now (periods will make my POTS symptoms hell if I do!)

At a dead end with GP, where to go from here?
The next set of results my tsh was again 3.8 and they didn’t test tpo, the doctor suggested trialling levothyroxine but I requested a
vitamin
D
test to know if the symptoms were from the thyroid or
vitamin
D
deficiency, the result of this test came back at 2 above deficiency and I was told that was fine

New results, scared doctor will dismiss me
I've been taking
vitamin
D
since a low test late last year. In March it had gone up to 33.5 ng/mL but they didn't test this time. Vitamina B12 *608 pg/mL 116 - 513 ( I don't know why this range is so ridiculously low!)

Vitamin
