Vitamin D
I have just read a post that suggests
vitamin
D
may increase palpitations in AF..My GP had suggested I take
vitamin
D
to help with the aches and pains of Polymyalgia. Seems one drug to help hinders another. I don't want to aggravate my afib. Has anyone any facts/opinions on this?

Vitamin D level
Have been on Evenity for 2 and half months and the
Vitamin
D
is showing at 112. I keep reading that it can be too high over 100 and do harm, has anyone any thoughts on this? Also, I am wondering if the drug would make the
Vitamin
D
go up anyway and if it was OK. Thanks

Need advice on these blood test results - wondering if it might be hypo, but Dr's all say numbers are fine.
Pretty much everything else they tested was great, except
Vitamin
D
which I am usually low on because I avoid the sun (very fair skin and burn easily), so I take a D3 supplement.

Results, but not convinced
He prescribed me folic a is a few weeks ago because my folate was low and I have been on prescribed
vitamin
D
for years. I do not disbelieve I am menopausal because i know i am but some of my symptoms just do not seem to be true completely to that alone.

Steroids
Also he needs to eat foods with potassium and he should take
Vitamin
D
. Should he speak to his GP even though the steroids are being managed by his neurologist? Or should he buy over the counter
Vitamin
D
etc? Thank you all.

Ibrance and supplements
My oncologist recommended not to take calcium and
vitamin
D
because I have a high level of calcium in my blood. I mainly use vitamin C, and I try to compensate everything else from food. I am 69 years old and use Ibrance 100 + fulvestrant monthly and zometa every 3 months.

Still having symptoms of hypothyroidism despite medication - any advice?
I was low in ferritin,
vitamin
D
, and B12, but I’ve treated all of these and they’re optimal now (or almost optimal), thanks to everyone's advice last time. I’m also on the mini pill Cerelle but I’m too scared to come off of it right now (periods will make my POTS symptoms hell if I do!)

Prolia 1yr Update
I chose not to take
Vitamin
D
or calcium as they were within normal range. My DEXA scan a year later showed a 3.5 % increase in bone density in my hip with a T of -0.9 and assessed as normal.

Low
Vitamin
D
is associated with worse RLS (supplementing with
vitamin
D
has not been shown to significantly help but we usually suggest it as a minimal risk way of shifting the balance in your favour). Moderate exercise has been shown to be beneficial but extreme exercise shown to aggravate.

Blood Results (Low FT4, Normal TSH) - Warrants GP Review?
D
results, but wouldn’t be surprised if this was low as in 2018 it was 9.6 ng/ml (treated with high dose
Vitamin
D
for 6 weeks, then never rechecked by GP).

Is this thyroid?
Vitamin
D
was at 50 so I started a spray which caused same issue of shaking, blood pressure spiking etc. My consultant now wants to check my thyroid anti body levels and T3 just in case. I’m just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience or symptoms. Any suggestions or advise appreciated.

SUNSHINE on A RAINY DAY - The importance of Vitamin D
The following article is something that I penned last Autumn on the importance of
Vitamin
D
for all of us who are living with ITP. It is particularly important in the Winter months when the reduced amount of sunshine ☀️means that we cannot produce enough
Vitamin
D
naturally.
